A
new global study commissioned by Sabre (NASDAQ: SABR) reveals that over 91% of
agencies are using four or more booking systems, with more than half managing
seven or more — a complexity that directly impacts productivity, profitability,
and employee satisfaction.
In
response, Sabre is launching the SabreMosaic™ Travel Marketplace, an AI-powered
platform that brings together the industry’s most comprehensive travel content
in one place, simplifying operations and modernizing how travel is sold.
"Every
industry faces digital fragmentation," said Jen Catto, Chief Marketing
Officer at Sabre. "In travel, that fragmentation has reached a point where
it’s no longer manageable. Agencies are telling us they want simplicity,
unified access, and technology that empowers them to serve travelers without
being slowed down."
Key
findings from the survey include:
·
75% of agencies report a growth in the
number of content connections over the past three years
·
Over 80% believe a single unified
platform would lower technology costs
·
Nearly 90% manage four or more API
integrations, with over half citing them as a significant challenge
·
91% believe AI can enhance
productivity and customer experience, though 41% express concern over its
long-term impact on the workforce
A
Smarter, AI-Enabled Marketplace for a Fragmented Industry
SabreMosaic™
Travel Marketplace marks a leap beyond the traditional Global Distribution
System (GDS), offering a cloud-native, content-agnostic solution that supports
both Offer- and Order-based workflows. It is designed to empower agencies in a
multi-sourced travel environment, giving them the tools to operate more
efficiently and serve customers more effectively.
“Travel
agencies shouldn’t need to juggle a dozen systems just to function,” said Garry
Wiseman, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Sabre. “SabreMosaic simplifies
the process with a single, intelligent platform. It’s about more than just
content—it’s about delivering the right content at the right time, with
AI-driven tools that improve recommendations and streamline sales. We’re not
just talking about transformation—we’re delivering it.”
Core
benefits of SabreMosaic™ Travel Marketplace:
Access
everything. Offer anything. A single connection to the industry’s most
extensive content portfolio: 38 NDC airlines, over 150 low-cost carriers, 2
million lodging options, and more than 70 car and rail providers
Smarter
sales. AI helps surface the most relevant content quickly, automates key
booking and servicing workflows, and increases conversion rates across all
travel segments
Built
for performance. Cloud-native and modular, the platform supports
enterprise-scale transactions, offering continuous availability and the
flexibility to grow with the business
With
SabreMosaic, Sabre is redefining how travel agencies access, manage, and sell
in an increasingly complex landscape. By unifying content, embedding AI where
it adds real value, and enabling flexible, scalable workflows, Sabre is helping
agencies shift from managing fragmentation to driving sustainable growth.
