The
Crowne Plaza brand has continued to go from strength to strength, building on
its reputation as one of the world’s best known and loved premium hotel brands
among corporate and leisure travellers alike.
The
signing of Crowne Plaza Istanbul West continues IHG’s strong momentum in
Türkiye, demonstrating its commitment to the market and underscoring the
increasing popularity of the country as a key destination. To meet this growing
demand, IHG is strategically expanding its portfolio across all brand segments
in Türkiye, supported by the continued confidence owners have in IHG’s brands
to deliver lasting value to its guests and owners. As a result of this growth,
IHG recently signed its first Garner,
Istanbul Arnavutköy in the country, boosting its presence in the
Essentials segment, as well as signing Vignette
Collection, Istanbul Karaköy, strengthening its Luxury and Lifestyle
portfolio.
Primarily
targeting international and domestic business travellers, Crowne Plaza Istanbul
West will be located a short drive from the Tuyap Exhibition and Fair Centre,
Ambarli Port - Istanbul’s largest container port – and the Beylikduzu
Industrial Zone, home to 950 factories. Delivering on the brand’s promise to
provide exceptional guest experiences rooted in blended travel, Crowne Plaza
Istanbul West will also be close to Buyukcekmece Beach.
Marking
another step in the brand’s ethos, Crowne Plaza Istanbul West will feature a
wellness centre including a spa and fitness room. The hotel will also include
an all-day dining restaurant and bar as well as several meeting and event
spaces, ideal for intimate social gatherings or large corporate events.
Willemijn
Geels, Vice President, Development, Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said:
“The Turkish market has gained remarkable momentum in recent years, and we are
committed to sustaining this growth through differentiation and innovation. The
rate at which we are signing new hotels in Türkiye is testament to IHG’s
incredible in-market team who continue to work with new and existing partners
to bring our brands to new locations.
We
are delighted to be partnering with Artas Turizm Isletmeciligi Sanayi ve
Ticaret Limited Sirketi to bring to life Crowne Plaza Istanbul West, and who
have entrusted IHG’s market-leading brands, local expertise and global
enterprise to deliver high returns and performance.”
As
one of the world’s largest premium hotel brands, Crowne Plaza offers purposeful
design underpinned by flexible spaces to work, meet and relax, while meeting
the needs of guests seeking productivity, relaxation and an opportunity to
connect. Crowne Plaza Istanbul West adds to the brand’s growing European
portfolio of 110* open and pipeline properties.
Mr.
Cem Ozan Metin, Board Member of Artas Turizm, said: “We are looking forward to
bringing a new offering for both domestic and international travellers to
Istanbul, with the signing of Crowne Plaza Istanbul West. Having worked
alongside IHG Hotels & Resorts for nearly a decade with our Holiday Inn Istanbul
Old City property, we have seen firsthand the benefits of their global
expertise and local insights in catering to the diverse needs of guests
visiting this dynamic city.”
IHG
Hotels & Resorts operates 33 open hotels in Türkiye, across five brands
including 13 Crowne Plaza properties. Crowne Plaza Istanbul West will become
