The newly-introduced Sensei at Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve brings Sensei’s highly personalized wellness programs to the destination, offering guided one-on-one consultations, rejuvenating spa treatments, and group fitness yoga and meditation classes – setting a new benchmark for holistic wellbeing in Los Cabos.
Sensei applies data-driven health knowledge and utilizes technology in its programs and services to create premier wellbeing programming that promotes healthy lifestyle practices. The Sensei Way, informed by Dr. Agus’ lifetime of knowledge in self-care and preventative health science, is built around three pillars: move, nourish, and rest, to guide individuals toward optimal wellbeing.
“This collaboration with Sensei allows us to position Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve as a world-class wellness retreat, reinforcing our commitment to providing guests with the most innovative spa and evidence-led wellness offerings, promising an impactful wellbeing experience during their stay at Zadún,” stated Thomas Jecklin, General Manager at Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve.
Sensei at Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve has brought in Sensei’s best-in-class guides with advanced degrees in exercise physiology, mindset and nutrition to Los Cabos, where guests will enjoy personalized consultations on everything from their mindset to healthy eating practices, sleep, fitness and more. As part of the Sensei experience, guests can book four signature wellness packages:
Discover Sensei Experience: Whether celebrating a special occasion or looking for a flexible wellness-oriented stay, this introductory package provides the luxury of choice with one private wellness consultation or spa service for every day of the stay, excluding arrival and departure days. Three-night minimum stay is required.
Guided Wellness Experience: Revel in relaxation or sharpen wellness practices with expert guidance from a dedicated Sensei Guide and a personalized itinerary tailored to the guest’s goals and interests. This three-night program includes a nightly $150 Sensei Credit and one private session in fitness, nutrition, mindset, and more.
Rest and Reset Program: This structured five-night program introduces proven techniques to manage stress and improve sleep. The program is complemented by six private 1:1 sessions including two with a Mindset Guide to translate your health data, as well as rejuvenating spa treatments, and a guide to growth report to power actionable steps upon your return home.
Optimal Wellbeing Program: Guests can hone their wellbeing through expert guidance and technology including a WHOOP wearable device sent prior to arrival. In this structured five-night program, Sensei’s integrated team of exercise physiologists, nutritionists and mindset professionals measure key biomarkers, co-create a guest’s personalized itinerary, and help fine-tune practices to meet their goals – whether that’s peak fitness performance or healthier eating practices.
“This partnership with Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve marks Sensei’s first international expansion, a major milestone for our rapidly growing wellbeing brand,” said Alexandra Walterspiel, Sensei’s CEO. “We are honored to bring our best-in-class wellness offerings to the Ritz Carlton Reserve - a brand that places such an emphasis on local cultural integrations and the guest experience. With the property’s location along the pristine white sand beaches of Los Cabos, Sensei’s programming aligns perfectly with guests’ passion for the outdoors, wellness, and relaxation.”
Besides its core Signature Services offered at all Sensei locations, Sensei at Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve will offer a variety of locally inspired spa treatments and experiences that merge Sensei’s core principles of Move, Nourish, and Rest with the beautiful landscapes and rich culture of Los Cabos. Key standouts include:
Featured Rest - Savasana Sound and Floor Massage Experience: In the Savasana Room, experience a combination of Rebozo— a traditional Mexican technique using woven shawls to release tension— and Thai massage with yoga-inspired stretching to improve blood flow, ease muscle tension, and promote sleep. Conclude with an immersive Savasana Sound Experience, where music fills the room and soothing vibrations emanate.
Featured Nourish - Cacao Body Scrub, Massage, and Bath: Nourish the body and senses with one of Mexico’s most storied ingredients. Begin with an invigorating cacao scrub and taste gourmet chocolates while soaking in a coconut milk-infused bath, followed by a warm oil massage.
Featured Move - Invigorating Poultice Massage: Locally sourced poultices— infused with chamomile, arnica, menthol, and rosemary— soften tension while expert hands guide guests through stretches and full-body strokes. Cooling stones atop the eyes and a rosemary and linseed scalp therapy awaken the senses.
Traditional Temazcal Ritual with Mindset 1:1: Cultivate intention through challenge with a sweat lodge experience rooted in Mesoamerican traditions. In an enclosed dome, warmth and humidity promote circulation and perspiration, while a traditional ritual honoring the elements supports a guest’s focus. Conclude with a Mindset 1:1 with a Sensei Guide to help marry the guest’s experience with Sensei’s evidence-based approach.
