TUI will continue its role as title sponsor of the biggest running event of the Balearic Islands until at least 2030, underlined by a deal signed with race organiser Kumulus.
After the successful TUI Palma Marathon Mallorca 2024 – when TUI returned as the role of title sponsor after ten years – both parties have extended their commitment until 2030. With this renewal, both organizations aim to drive further growth. The renewal of the sponsorship will also put a greater focus on sustainability, inclusion, local collaboration and innovation with the aim of positioning it as one of the major events in the European running world.
“For TUI, the combination of sports, tourism and sustainability is simply perfect. As the TUI Palma Marathon Mallorca attracts both local and international audiences, we are very proud to continue supporting this iconic event for the Balearics and all of Europe. Together with Kumulus, the volunteers and our many partners on the island, we will continue working to enhance the experience for participants and spectators, ensuring that the marathon remains leading in terms of quality, innovation, and environmental responsibility”, says Magnus Hüttenberend, the Group Director responsible for TUI’s sponsoring activities.
“We are very proud to continue our collaboration with TUI and strengthen our relationship with the global leader in the tourism industry,” said David Thompson, CEO of Kumulus. “This extension not only demonstrates the success of the collaboration over last year, but also our shared vision to grow the TUI Palma Marathon Mallorca even further in the years to come. As organizers we are aligned with TUI in fundamental values as environment care and customer satisfaction”.
Over the past few years, the event has grown in terms of the diversity of represented countries, reaching 76 nationalities in the last edition. The return of TUI as a globally recognized brand committed to quality and excellence in the tourism industry underlines this growth story.
Packages for the TUI Palma Marathon Mallorca can be booked in all TUI retail shops worldwide as well as online in the TUI app.
The next TUI Marathon will take place as early as next week: the TUI Rhodes Marathon will be held for the first time on 6 April. Several thousand runners are expected on the Greek island; the event will be broadcast live on Greek television.
