According
to new research by TUI River Cruises, three-quarters of Brits (75%) want to
feel a sense of familiarity when they travel abroad. From favourite toiletries
(37%) to teabags (21%) and even a pair of trusty slippers (20%), UK travellers
are packing the comforts of home to ease the leap into foreign lands.
Despite
36% expressing a strong desire to travel internationally every year, many are
hesitant without the reassurance of familiar surroundings. Nearly half (43%)
say smiling staff and friendly crew make them feel most at ease, while 37%
emphasize the importance of being well taken care of during their trip.
To
highlight how TUI River Cruises delivers these “home-from-home” experiences, TV
presenter Anthea Turner set sail on a Danube cruise aboard TUI Skyla, exploring
Hungary, Slovakia, and Austria. Onboard, she discovered a haven of British
touches — from Twinings tea and hearty classics to premium comfort and curated
excursions like a walking tour of Passau.
“From
branded tea to British classics, TUI River Cruises makes it easy to relax and
enjoy the sights in style,” said Anthea Turner.
