With 100 days to go until the Olympic and Paralympic
Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, Delta Air Lines is marking the countdown in
style. The airline unveiled a custom Team USA aircraft livery and introduced
exclusive SkyMiles Experiences packages offering members the chance to attend
the Games in Italy.
A new livery takes flight
Delta revealed its latest Airbus A350 design honoring
the athletes representing Team USA. Created by Art Director Alex Brannon and
Delta’s in-house agency Window Seat, the aircraft features 26 stripes
symbolizing 2026, inspired by Milan’s landscapes and forward motion. The
process took more than a year, involving five designers and over 70 shades of
paint.
“Our Team USA livery represents excellence,
resilience, and the drive to keep climbing,” said Alicia Tillman, Delta’s Chief
Marketing Officer. “It’s a visual promise of the world-class experience we aim
to deliver as we carry athletes, families and fans to Milan.”
The aircraft will begin international service later
this year, flying from Delta’s U.S. hubs to key destinations worldwide.
Exclusive SkyMiles experiences
Delta also announced once-in-a-lifetime travel
packages for SkyMiles Members to attend Olympic and Paralympic events in Milan
and Cortina. Available via auction on the SkyMiles Experiences platform, the
offers include event tickets, hotel stays and airport transfers — from the
Opening Ceremony in Milan to the Paralympic Closing Ceremony in Cortina.
The team behind Team USA
As the Official Airline of Team USA, Delta manages the
complex logistics of transporting athletes, families, and equipment to the
Games. Operations teams coordinate every detail — from oversized sports gear to
seamless connections — ensuring that every competitor arrives ready to perform.
“Supporting Team USA is a meaningful mission for our
entire Delta family,” said Richard Cox, Senior Vice President of Airport
Customer Service. “Behind every flight is a team dedicated to helping athletes
reach gold.”
Inspiring the journey
Delta’s roster of athlete ambassadors will serve as
storytellers throughout the Games, embodying the airline’s values of
determination, unity, and purpose.
With 100,000 Delta employees powering the effort, the
airline reaffirms its role as the “Team Behind the Team,” connecting dreams,
destinations, and the enduring spirit of the Olympic Games — one journey at a
time.
