Thanks
to Delta’s direct flights from the U.S. to Brazil—and seamless connections via
LATAM—exploring Brazil’s rich cultural calendar has never been easier.
Here
are four must-see festivals that bring Brazil’s diverse heritage to life:
1.
Festa Junina | June | Nationwide
This
colorful, family-friendly festival honors Catholic saints and rural traditions
with music, dance, and food. Towns across Brazil are adorned with flags, and
locals dress in traditional costumes to perform joyful quadrilha dances. The
largest events take place in Campina Grande and Caruaru, where visitors can
enjoy concerts, food stalls, and fireworks.
2.
Feast of the Divine | June 8, 2025 | Nationwide
Celebrated
50 days after Easter, this spiritual festival features religious processions,
folk music, and reenactments of historical battles between Moors and
Christians. Pirenópolis in Goiás is especially known for its theatrical
Cavalhadas parade.
3.
Parintins Folklore Festival | June 27–29, 2025 | Parintins, Amazonas
In
the Amazon, this epic showdown between two folkloric teams—Caprichoso (blue)
and Garantido (red)—turns a riverside town into a stage for spectacular
storytelling through music, dance, and elaborate costumes.
4.
Oktoberfest | October 8–26, 2025 | Blumenau, Santa Catarina
South
Brazil’s German heritage comes alive in Blumenau with parades, folk dances, and
Bavarian music. It’s the largest Oktoberfest outside Germany—complete with
traditional food and plenty of beer.
