Tourexpi
The
latest upgrades are part of Delta’s $4 billion transformation of Terminal C,
realized in partnership with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The
world-class terminal has already gained recognition from Forbes Travel as one
of the top airports and from Skytrax for offering the “World’s Best Art in the
Airport,” celebrating New York’s cultural diversity with installations by local
artists and community-themed exhibits.
Next-Generation
Passenger Experience
From
check-in to departure, Terminal C reflects a complete reimagining of the travel
experience. TSA PreCheck Touchless ID, available for eligible SkyMiles®
Members, allows bag check and security clearance via facial
recognition—minimizing lines and physical contact.
Accessibility
is also a key focus: The terminal features a sensory room with a mock aircraft
cabin to ease flight anxiety, designated pet relief areas, and an interfaith
chapel for personal reflection and prayer.
New
Open-Air Sky Deck
Adding
to the amenities is Terminal C’s new outdoor sky deck, a terrace offering
expansive views of the airfield and a rare moment of fresh air before boarding.
This unique space brings tranquility and a connection to the outside world
within the bustling airport environment.
Authentic
New York Dining
True
to the city’s spirit, Terminal C’s dining scene is vibrant and diverse. Local
favorites include Bubby’s, Chuko Ramen, and King David Tacos. For sit-down
meals, travelers can enjoy Greek-inspired Calista Taverna or nostalgic Italian
American fare at Sunday Supper. Other highlights include the Terrace Bar, Eggy
Weggy, Poppy’s Bagels, Essex Burger, and Rossi Pizzeria—developed in
partnership with Lucali’s Mark Iacono.
Art
and Architecture That Move You
Terminal
C blends function with art and light. Centralized security ensures efficient
flow, while natural light floods in through floor-to-ceiling windows. Art
installations curated with the Queens Museum include a striking mosaic by
Rashid Johnson, a ceramic mural by Mariam Ghani celebrating regional languages,
and a mural by Aliza Nisenbaum honoring Delta and airport staff.
A
Vision for the Future
Delta’s
partnership with the Port Authority reflects a commitment to shaping the future
of air travel in New York. With the spirit of “Keep Climbing,” Delta continues
to innovate—offering passengers a travel experience that is modern, meaningful,
and deeply connected to the city it serves.
