Condor will resume direct flights between Frankfurt
and Windhoek from the end of June 2027, bringing Namibia back into its
long-haul network. The route will operate three times a week and marks the
airline's return to a destination that was previously served between 2014 and
2021.
The new service reflects continued demand for travel
to Southern Africa and expands Condor's long-haul offering for the 2027 summer
season.
Three weekly flights to Namibia
Flights from Frankfurt to Windhoek will depart every
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, with return services operating on Wednesdays,
Fridays and Sundays.
The route will be served by Condor's Airbus A330neo
fleet, offering direct connections for both individual travellers and organised
tour groups.
“Windhoek is returning to our long-haul portfolio
after having been part of our route network for many years. Namibia has long
been one of the most sought-after long-haul destinations for German
holidaymakers. With this direct connection and our modern Airbus A330neo fleet,
we are creating an attractive offering for both leisure travelers and tour
operators that meets the strong demand for travel to Southern Africa,” said
Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor.
Namibia remains a popular destination
Known for its vast landscapes, national parks and
wildlife experiences, Namibia continues to rank among the most popular
destinations in Southern Africa. Windhoek serves as the main gateway for
travellers exploring the country and neighbouring regions.
The airline has already opened bookings for the
Windhoek route as well as for several other destinations included in its summer
2027 schedule. Additional routes will be released gradually over the coming
months, allowing customers to plan their travel well in advance.
Tickets are available through Condor's sales channels
and travel agencies.
