Thailand Launches ‘Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism & Sports Year 2025’ Campaign
The
initiative, developed by the National Tourism Policy Committee and endorsed by
the Cabinet, seeks to boost international competitiveness through collaboration
between public and private sectors.
Key
strategic areas include enhancing the aviation sector with reduced service fees
and increasing flight frequencies, promoting accommodation quality, and
offering exclusive retail discounts. The campaign also focuses on improving
public transport connectivity and ensuring tourist safety with 24-hour
assistance centers.
Visa
policy improvements, including exemptions and long-stay options, will simplify
travel procedures. Events such as the Songkran festivals will be expanded, and
cultural venues may extend operating hours. Public relations will emphasize
Thailand’s rich cultural offerings through global media campaigns.
The
initiative, expected to attract over 39 million visitors and generate 3.4
trillion Baht in revenue, aims to make Thailand a dynamic, sustainable
destination for tourism and sports. The campaign's global launch took place at
major events like ITB Berlin and the Arabian Travel Market.
