With
immediate effect, guests on short-haul flights to the new city destinations can
also take one piece of hand baggage on board free of charge in the Economy
Light fare. For other short, medium and long-haul destinations, guests
travelling in Economy Class will continue to have a zero option with a small
bag only. Condor is also introducing a Green Fare in all transport classes:
Economy, Premium Economy and Business.
Economy
fares available with and without hand baggage
Passengers
who book their city flight, for example between Frankfurt and Berlin or
Hamburg, in the attractively priced Economy Light fare from today can
take one piece of hand baggage and a small bag on board at no extra charge.
On
other routes, Condor will offer the even more favourable Economy Zero fare.
This fare does not include hand baggage, but only a small bag free of charge.
New
Green Fare for responsible travelling
Anyone
who wants to make a personal contribution to the climate when choosing their
fare can now do so by selecting the Green Fare for their flight. The Green Fare
is offered for all classes, i.e. Economy, Premium and Business, across the
entire route network. Condor calculates the respective CO2 emissions
individually depending on the route and class of carriage and will show these
when booking in future. The contribution will be used proportionately to
support two selected climate protection projects run by Condor's partner
myclimate and for refuelling with sustainable aviation fuels (SAF). These are
SAF quantities that exceed the legally prescribed quantities. For short and
medium-haul flights, around 80 per cent of the emissions calculated as part of
the Green Fare are channelled into climate protection projects and around 20
per cent into SAF. On long-haul flights, the ratio is 90 per cent to 10 per
cent.
Flexible
flying becomes easier
Condor
has turned two flexible fares in all three booking classes into one: the Flex
fare, in which customers can rebook and cancel free of charge up to 24 hours
before the booked flight. In the event of cancellation, customers are
automatically refunded the full price to their original means of payment.
For
frequent business travellers in particular, Condor also offers the option of
free cancellation in exchange for a voucher in the Green Fare. In this case,
the purchase price is not paid out to the original payment method, but the
guest receives a voucher that can be redeemed flexibly for 10 months on the
entire Condor route network.
“With
the expansion of the Condor route network to popular city destinations, we are
also increasingly appealing to business travellers. This also changes the needs
of our customers on some routes," says Jens Boyd, Commercial Director at
Condor. Today, we are therefore adapting our fare structure in favour of our
customers and enabling low-cost travel with hand baggage for a short trip to a
business meeting or family celebration. In addition, the Green Fare in all
classes and on the entire Condor route network enables our guests to decide
directly when booking their flight to travel responsibly and contribute to
further CO2 savings on Condor flights. With the innovative ‘cancellation
against voucher’ option, we are making the Green Fare particularly attractive
for frequent flyers.”
The
new fares are now available for single-seat bookings via all sales channels.
For bookings made before 2 April 2025, the fare conditions valid at the time of
booking will continue to apply and will not be adjusted automatically.
