Moxy Hotels, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s global
portfolio of more than 30 hotel brands, has launched Sweet Moxy Fest, a new
brand campaign developed in collaboration with the creative candy label Amos.
Introduced at the start of the year, the campaign combines limited-edition
candy-inspired cocktails with interactive lobby experiences, reinforcing Moxy’s
social, experience-led approach to hospitality.
Running across ten participating Moxy Hotels in
Shanghai, Suzhou, Ningbo, Chongqing and Shenzhen, Sweet Moxy Fest adds a
playful, sensory layer to the guest experience. Candy flavours, bright colours
and hands-on activities are designed to turn the hotel lobby into a social
space that encourages interaction, sharing and light-hearted fun.
Experiences beyond the stay
The campaign reflects shifting expectations among
younger travellers, who increasingly look for hotels to offer more than
accommodation alone. “Today’s younger travelers are seeking more than just a
place to stay – they want experiences that feel personal, playful, and
connected to the world around them,” said Betty Tian, Managing Vice President,
Customer Group, Greater China, Marriott International. She described Moxy as a
brand created to actively engage guests and noted that the collaboration with
Amos translates candy into a shared, interactive experience that brings the
brand’s playful DNA to life.
Candy-inspired cocktails as a centrepiece
At the heart of Sweet Moxy Fest are three New Year
candy cocktails created exclusively for the campaign. Each drink incorporates
Amos gummies and symbolic flavours associated with luck and celebration. One
cocktail pairs orange gummies with a fresh, juicy profile, another uses
building-block gummies to create a layered, creamy texture, while a third
features goldfish-shaped gummies for a lively and refreshing finish.
On arrival, guests receive a Moxy Coin, which can be
redeemed for one of the limited-edition candy cocktails, in addition to the
brand’s standard complimentary welcome cocktail and mocktail. The ritual is
designed to set a relaxed and upbeat tone from the moment of check-in.
Interactive lobbies and social moments
Beyond the bar, the campaign extends throughout the
lobby. Guests can use their Moxy Coin to take part in interactive activities,
including a Lucky Wheel with small challenges or giveaways and, at selected
hotels, a Candy Claw machine offering Amos treats or themed merchandise. A
self-service Sugar Boost Station provides sweets throughout the day, while
candy-themed décor and custom plush elements create a visual backdrop intended
for social sharing.
With Sweet Moxy Fest, Moxy Hotels continues to
position the lobby as a social hub rather than a transitional space. The
campaign blends design, flavour and playfulness into an experience that
encourages guests to connect, linger and start the year with a lighter, sweeter
stay.
