Marriott Bonvoy is partnering with the FIFA World Cup
2026 as the tournament returns to North America for the first time in 32 years.
As the Official Hotel Supporter in North America, Marriott Bonvoy will provide
fans with immersive travel and hospitality experiences across Canada, Mexico
and the United States throughout the historic event.
Drawing on its portfolio of more than 30 hotel brands,
Marriott Bonvoy will serve as a welcoming home base for fans traveling to
matches and host cities. Throughout the tournament, members and guests can
expect exclusive hotel experiences, curated fan activations, new Marriott
Bonvoy Moments, limited-edition packages and special drops, with additional
details to be announced closer to kickoff. With dozens of properties in each
host city, the program is designed to accompany fans from arrival to matchday
and beyond.
From travel to unforgettable moments
“For millions, soccer is a shared language, connecting
families, communities and cultures across generations,” said Peggy Roe, Chief
Customer Officer at Marriott International. She noted that travel plays a
similar role in shaping meaningful connections, and that the FIFA World Cup
2026 will be one of those defining moments for fans around the world. Through
Marriott Bonvoy, the company aims to turn the tournament into a series of
lasting memories by combining the warmth of its hotels with the reach of its global
travel platform.
FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström welcomed the
partnership, highlighting Marriott Bonvoy’s extensive hotel footprint across
the three host countries. He said the collaboration will help accommodate
record numbers of domestic and international fans traveling in June and July,
enhancing their experience whether attending matches in stadiums or gathering
at FIFA Fan Festivals.
A global hospitality network
Marriott Bonvoy spans more than 30 brands across 143
countries and territories, covering luxury, premium and select-service
segments. Supported by its loyalty program, credit cards and global
partnerships, the platform connects travelers with experiences across the full
journey, from booking to stay and beyond.
In addition to its role as an Official Supporter,
Marriott Bonvoy will collaborate with Visa, a long-standing FIFA partner, to
engage fans and travelers worldwide with tailored experiences linked to the
tournament.
A landmark global event
The FIFA World Cup 2026 is expected to be the largest
edition in the tournament’s history, featuring 48 teams, 104 matches, three
host countries and 16 host cities. More than six million fans are projected to
attend matches, while up to six billion people are expected to engage with the
event globally. The tournament will take place from Thursday, June 11 to
Sunday, July 19, 2026.
