Vignette Collection, the newest brand in IHG’s fast-growing luxury and lifestyle portfolio, is a family of one-of-a-kind hotels in destinations to remember. Idyllically located in Lima’s vibrant Miraflores neighborhood overlooking the Pacific Ocean from the Malecón, SOUMA Hotel Lima, operated by Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, is now accepting reservations for stays beginning in March 2025.
Leanne Harwood, SVP and Managing Director of Luxury & Lifestyle Americas, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “Peru is a destination celebrated for its beauty and culture, and we are excited to lay the foundation for the growth of Vignette Collection in South America with the brand’s first property here. SOUMA Hotel Lima is filled with individuality and character and brings a new dimension of discovery to Vignette Collection, which has experienced strong momentum globally in its first three years. This latest addition perfectly complements the portfolio’s unique hotels in memorable destinations from Bangkok and Lisbon to Shanghai, Budapest and Dubai.”
SOUMA Hotel Lima welcomes guests with a one-of-a-kind experience that seeks to elevate the senses through unique textures, aromas, flavors and spaces. Inspired by Peru’s Pacaya Samiria Nature Reserve, the hotel’s modern, minimalist décor is accented with natural materials to create a harmonious oasis in the center of the city. Its 214 guest rooms, which are free of single-use plastics, have been thoughtfully designed to evoke a feeling of ease, with accents such as light wood, cotton, linen and floor-to-ceiling windows that invite in natural light.
Vignette Collection combines each property’s individual identity with the brand’s collective vision to offer a more authentic travel experience. Each property is distinct, yet united through key hallmarks Memorable Rituals and ‘A Means For Good’
Memorable Rituals – bespoke to each Vignette Collection property – connect guests with the hotel’s unique identity, locality and cultural landscape. Guests of SOUMA Hotel Lima will be invited to begin and end their day with two unforgettable complimentary experiences on the hotel’s rooftop. Twice a week, Sunrise Yoga Sessions will enhance energy and well-being through a revitalizing practice set against a breathtaking backdrop. As the vibrant sunsets at dusk paint the Pacific Ocean, guests can awaken the senses and indulge in the rich flavors of Peru during the hotel’s daily pisco cocktail tasting, the signature spirit of Peru, creating a moment to savor.
A Means For Good initiatives at all Vignette Collection properties represent each hotel’s commitment to responsibility, community engagement and local culture. With a commitment to tailoring initiatives to suit the unique character of each hotel, they work to contribute positively to the local community. SOUMA Hotel Lima is committed to being a responsible, conscious member of its community. Working towards a world with zero waste, sustainability and responsible waste management practices are priorities for the property. It was the first hotel in Lima to be free of single-use plastic. Through its partnerships with varying waste processing companies, the hotel tracks and enhances its environmental impact through tailored programs that reduce waste and transform it into resources, support responsible fishing practices and promote coastal health.
Peru is renowned for its rich tapestry of flavors, aromas and culinary artistry, and the hotel’s three signature restaurants welcome guests with premier dining experiences. Ortega & Huamán delights diners with its creative fusion of Peruvian and Mediterranean cuisines with ocean influences. Perched on the hotel’s rooftop with stunning views of the ocean and surrounding city, 27 Tapas is a contemporary tapas concept blending Spanish and Peruvian cuisine. The innovative menu is accompanied by live music and performances from some of the city’s best DJs. Kimo, inspired by a whale exploring marine treasures, offers an adventurous Japanese Nikkei experience and fresh seafood alongside an unbeatable view of the Pacific Ocean.
Guests seeking relaxation and indulgence during their stay can enjoy the expansive rooftop with a heated infinity pool and coveted coastline views as well as Bambu Spa featuring an array of soothing treatments and a sauna. Additional hotel amenities include a 24-hour fitness center as well as 276 square meters of dedicated meetings and event space spread across four rooms, which are ideal for family gatherings, corporate events or intimate celebrations. Guests will also have access to a best-in-class loyalty program, IHG One Rewards, giving them richer benefits and more ways to earn than ever before, all powered by leading technology on its mobile app.
Vignette Collection has surpassed the halfway point in its initial aim to reach 100 open and pipeline hotels in 10 years.* Its one-of-a-kind properties can be found in destinations like Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Australia, Portugal and Greater China. Vignette Collection debuted in the Americas in early 2023 with Yours Truly DC in Washington, D.C. Future openings in the region include Franciscana Hotel in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula and The Gwendolyn, located in Oregon’s Willamette Valley wine region.
