Condor is continuing the expansion of its
international route network with the launch of a new daily connection between
Frankfurt and Cairo. From May 2026, the German airline will operate daily
flights from Frankfurt Airport to the Egyptian capital, further broadening its
presence in North Africa and the Middle East and investing in a destination of
major economic and cultural significance.
The new service will be operated with an Airbus A320
and is designed to appeal to both business and leisure travellers. Passengers
can expect a comfortable onboard experience with ergonomic seating, a flexible
fare structure and a range of optional additional services. Flights are
available for booking from this week via condor.com, by phone and through all
travel agencies.
Strategic investment in a high-potential market
“Cairo is a fascinating destination with great
economic and cultural importance,” said Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor. “With the
new daily connection, we are deliberately investing in a market with long-term
potential while further strengthening our position in business, leisure and
connecting traffic through Frankfurt.”
With a metropolitan population of more than 20
million, Cairo is one of the most dynamic urban centres in North Africa. The
city attracts millions of visitors each year, drawn by cultural landmarks such
as the Pyramids of Giza, the Valley of the Kings and the recently opened Grand
Egyptian Museum, as well as its role as a starting point for Nile cruises and
wider travel across the region.
Consistent expansion of the international network
The addition of Cairo underlines Condor’s strategy of
systematically strengthening its international route portfolio. By connecting
Frankfurt with one of the Middle East and North Africa’s most important hubs,
the airline enhances its appeal to a broad range of travellers while
reinforcing Frankfurt’s role as a key gateway for onward connections.
