In
collaboration with Zhong Ding Guo Sheng, the LXR property is scheduled to open
in 2027, in the heart of the historic and cultural city of Xi’an. This brand
debut marks a significant milestone for Hilton to expand its luxury hotel
portfolio in China.
“With
the growing demand for luxury travel and experiences in China, consumers have
an increasing desire for personalized accommodation experiences,” said Qian
Jin, president, Greater China and Mongolia, Hilton. “The signing of this
agreement not only unveils a new chapter in Hilton’s development in China but
also further enriches our portfolio of luxury brands in the region, offering a
more diverse range of hospitality experiences to the Chinese market.”
Hilton
has consistently kept pace with global travelers by continuously expanding its
luxury hotel portfolio. Since LXR Hotels & Resorts’ debut in 2018, the
brand has grown to a collection of 13 award-winning luxury properties around
the world, each offering a distinctive hotel and resort experience defined by
intriguing individual design, bespoke personal service, colorful characters,
and cultural experiences. This unique collection of properties is designed for
sophisticated global travelers who are passionate about exploring new places,
seeking out authentic dining experiences, and embarking on heartfelt adventures
while being pampered by a high level of personalized service and unparalleled
amenities. The LXR Hotels & Resorts property joins Hilton’s existing luxury
brands in China, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts and Conrad Hotels &
Resorts. In addition to last year’s signing of Signia by Hilton in Greater
China, Hilton will have four luxury brands in the region.
There
are currently 33 luxury hotels trading and another 21 in the pipeline in the
Greater China region, with the expectation of doubling the footprint of the
trading hotels under the 4 brands in the coming years. Additionally, Hilton’s
exclusive partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) complements
its existing luxury accommodation options.
To
meet rising guest demand for discerning adventure and personalized stay
experiences, the LXR Hotels & Resorts hotel in Xi’an will feature 118 guest
rooms, providing a luxurious hub for guests to explore this world-renowned
capital of 13 ancient Chinese dynasties. The hotel will be located in the heart
of Xi’an, within the bustling Datang Everbright City, and adjacent to eminent
landmarks, such as the Great Wild Goose Pagoda, Dayan Pagoda and Daci’en
Temple, allowing guests to easily explore the nearby attractions and immerse
themselves in the historical charm of this ancient capital. Surrounded by a
vibrant scene of contemporary commerce and Tang Dynasty–inspired architecture,
the hotel’s neighborhood layout reflects the traditional grid of ancient Chang’an
with a diverse mix of shopping, entertainment, and dining options, showcasing a
harmonious fusion of traditional Eastern aesthetics and modern Chinese
design.
With
an emphasis on design, the hotel seamlessly blends the elegance of symmetry
with the serenity of a sunken courtyard, offering guests a tranquil escape from
the city’s bustle, where they can unwind and experience peaceful luxury.
The
hotel’s dining offerings promise to be a journey of discovery, where local
flavors are reimagined through a contemporary lens. Guests can indulge in an
array of exceptional culinary experiences, blending the rich cultural heritage
of Xi’an with modern gastronomic innovation. Catering to guest exercise
preferences, the hotel will feature a swimming pool, a state-of-the-art fitness
center and a variety of wellness experiences, providing an ideal sanctuary for
rejuvenating both body and mind.
“We
are thrilled to partner with Hilton to bring the LXR brand to Xi’an. This not
only marks the brand’s debut in China but also offers a chance to highlight the
rich culture of Xi’an, a city with over 3,000 years of Chinese history,” said
Li Cheng Ping, chairman, Zhong Ding Guo Sheng. “This new hotel will offer
guests the perfect fusion of distinctive cultural characteristics, diversified
accommodation choices, and unique tourism experiences. With Hilton’s expertise
in luxury travel and global hotel management, we believe that LXR will become a
new tourism landmark of this city, attracting more visitors thus contributing
to the high-quality development of tourism in Xi’an.”
“Building
on the success of Waldorf Astoria and Conrad Hotels & Resorts in China, the
arrival of LXR Hotels & Resorts marks an exciting milestone as we continue
expanding Hilton’s portfolio of luxury brands in the region,” said Candice
D’Cruz, vice president, luxury brands, Asia Pacific, Hilton. “Introducing our
first LXR property in a destination rich in culture, cuisine, and art
underscores our commitment to curating immersive, story-filled stays that
connect discerning travelers with the heart of the locale.”
