Tourexpi
Set within one of the world’s leading urban wildlife
destinations, the opening marks a symbolic homecoming as Banyan Group reaches
its 100-hotel milestone.
A resort immersed in rainforest nature
Spread across 4.6 hectares of lush greenery, the
resort brings biophilic design to the heart of Singapore. Elevated architecture
preserves the existing terrain and mature trees, including a 12-metre Rain Tree
and an Indian Beech that frame the arrival area. Treehouse-style accommodations
rise through the forest canopy, inspired by the seed pods of the Purple
Millettia, with views across the Upper Seletar Reservoir. A five-storey main
building offers rooms and suites overlooking rainforest, gardens and water.
Guestroom interiors celebrate the layers of the forest
through works by Singaporean artist Donna Ong and antique lithographs of native
wildlife. Sustainable design features include natural ventilation, real-time
energy displays to encourage mindful consumption and rainwater harvesting. The
resort is Singapore’s first to achieve Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy
certification.
Dining, wellbeing and celebrations surrounded by
nature
Forage, the signature restaurant, offers reservoir
views and a Harvest-to-Table experience using ingredients from the rooftop
edible garden and local producers. The rooftop also features a pool overlooking
the reservoir, the Discovery Forest with young native trees and an edible
garden growing herbs such as torch ginger, pandan and roselle.
The Meranti Ballroom, inspired by folklore of the
forest floor, provides a venue for celebrations and events, while adjacent
bridal facilities ensure privacy and convenience. The Banyan Tree Spa offers
pavilions and treatment suites integrated into the greenery, including three
pods inspired by the scales of the native Sunda pangolin.
A nature-inspired playground brings the rainforest to
life for younger guests, with structures modelled on cannonball fruits,
buttress roots and giant leaves. These immersive play elements encourage
exploration, balance and creativity.
Gateway to the Mandai Wildlife Reserve
Guests have direct access to Singapore Zoo, Night
Safari, River Wonders, Bird Paradise, Rainforest Wild Asia and the new
Curiosity Cove indoor playscape. Stays include special rates and exclusive
programmes, from children’s day camps to wellness activities and wildlife
encounters.
