is following up on its announcement and setting up an advisory board to
strengthen its structures and processes. The high-caliber members of the
committee bring extensive expertise and international experience in the areas
of tourism, technology, international networks, compliance and strategy. The
new advisory board will begin its work at the beginning of 2024.
The
rtk has won Sören Hartmann as chairman. Hartmann, former Chief Executive
Officer of the DER Touristik Group and Head of Tourism at the REWE Group, is
also President of the Federal Association of the German Tourism Industry (BTW).
The advisory board is completed by three other experienced tourism experts:
Finn Ackermann, Executive Vice President Commercial EMEA of the Iberostar
Group, Günter Geske, former Managing Director Commercial at Thomas Cook, and
Hans Stadler, former Director of the Tourism Division at European Travel
Insurance AG (ERV).
