The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is presenting the country’s tourism offering at Gastech Exhibition and Conference 2026, taking place at BITEC in Bangkok from 14 to 17 September. Under the concept “Power of Journey: Healing is the New Luxury”, the tourism authority is targeting an international audience of business leaders and decision-makers while promoting both leisure travel and Thailand’s MICE sector.

Gastech is expected to attract more than 50,000 energy professionals from over 150 countries. The programme includes conferences, leadership roundtables, bilateral meetings and an exhibition with around 1,000 exhibitors.

Wellness and culture as tourism assets

TAT is focusing on travel experiences connected with physical and emotional well-being, Thai culture and local lifestyles. Its presentation includes the “Feel All the Feelings” concept as well as “20 Low Carbon Lifestyles”, highlighting routes that combine nature, communities and local experiences with more responsible forms of travel.

“Gastech gives TAT an important opportunity to engage with leaders, decision-makers and businesses from around the world while presenting another dimension of Thailand,” said TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool. She added that the participation would help strengthen Thailand’s international profile for meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions.

Thai traditions presented to international visitors

A central element of the TAT presentation is “4 Senses of Authentic Heritage”. Visitors can experience Thai tea culture, traditional puppetry through the Joe Louis Puppet Show, Thai massage and Muay Thai.

Additional cultural demonstrations and interactive activities introduce visitors to Thai traditions and everyday culture, while Thai herbal inhalers are being presented as examples of traditional wellness adapted to contemporary lifestyles.

Gastech strengthens Thailand’s MICE profile

Beyond promoting leisure tourism, TAT sees Gastech as an opportunity to build relationships with international companies, investors and decision-makers who could generate future business and event travel.

Hosting one of the world’s major energy industry gatherings also allows Thailand to demonstrate its capacity for large international events while connecting the conference experience with the country’s broader tourism offering.
