The GNTB therefore has a total of 63 members, including the tourism marketing organisations of the 16 federal states, 32 companies and 15 corporations, associations and marketing organisations. In addition, 16 sponsors support the GNTB's global sales and marketing network.

The GNTB's Board of Directors unanimously approved the companies' application for membership at its 106th meeting on 21 November.

Petra Hedorfer, CEO of the GNTB, explains: ‘Through GNTB membership, we offer medium-sized companies in the German tourism industry a professional platform for marketing their products in key source markets worldwide. At the same time, our members represent the high performance standard of the tourism offering in Germany. Together, we support the positioning of Germany as a quality travel destination in international competition.’

Monika Rieker, General Manager Germany and Austria at Kuoni Tumlare: ‘We are delighted to be working even more closely with the German National Tourist Board in the future. We are united by the goal of positioning Germany as a travel destination with its many facets for our customers and inspiring them with customised travel experiences. The potential is huge and with the GNTB's worldwide network and our global presence, we are creating an ideal starting point for increasing travel to Germany.’

Robert Rückel, Managing Director of the Deutschlandmuseum: ‘The multi-award-winning, immersive Deutschlandmuseum in Berlin is the first port of call for anyone who wants to learn the basics of German history and have fun at the same time. Together with the German National Tourist Board, we want to bring international guests closer to our history.’

Takuma Wohlfahrt, Director of Marketing and Communications at Käthe Wohlfahrt, continues: ‘We have been continuously represented at GNTB tourism events since 1981. As a member of the GNTB, we are all the more delighted to invite people from all over the world to experience the uniqueness of German Christmas, with all its traditional manifestations, during a personal visit to Germany.’
