The
Gender Equality Champion of the Year Award will once again take center stage at
ITB Berlin 2025. Organized by Equality in Tourism
International, the award recognizes organizations in the tourism and
hospitality sectors that demonstrate outstanding efforts to advance gender
equality.
The
award ceremony will take place on March 6, 2025, at 2:15 PM on the LGBTQ+ Tourism Pavilion
Stage.
Applications
are open to organizations of all sizes globally, with a submission deadline
of 27 January 2025. A panel of experts in gender and tourism will
evaluate the submissions.
Since
its launch in 2022, the award highlights exemplary initiatives promoting gender
equality in the industry. The aim is to promote progress and encourage more
firms to integrate gender equality into their policies and practices. Previous
winners include Travel Excellence in 2023 and a joint win in 2024
for Eternal Landscapes Mongolia and the Accor Brazil Embrace
Program.
The
2025 edition is sponsored by the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance and Sojern’s
SoEmpowered Group, reinforcing the commitment to inclusivity and sustainability
in the tourism sector.
