Spain's international air connectivity continues to
strengthen ahead of the peak summer season. According to the latest Air
Capacity Report published by Turespaña, airlines are scheduled to offer nearly
14.3 million seats on international flights to Spain in July 2026, representing
an increase of 8.7% compared with the same month last year.
The positive outlook reflects sustained demand across
most of Spain's key source markets, with particularly strong growth from
Southern Europe, Central Europe and North America.
Italy records the strongest growth among major
European markets
Among Spain's principal inbound markets, Italy is
expected to post the highest increase in seat capacity, with a year-on-year
rise of 15.5% in July.
The United Kingdom, Spain's largest international
source market, is projected to grow by 8.4%, while France is expected to record
a more moderate increase of 2.6%.
The Nordic markets present mixed results. Denmark is
forecast to expand by 3.4%, Norway is expected to remain broadly stable, and
Sweden is projected to increase capacity by just 0.2%.
Poland and Türkiye continue to expand rapidly
Poland remains one of Spain's fastest-growing source
markets, with scheduled seat capacity expected to increase by more than 44%
compared with July 2025.
Türkiye also continues its strong upward trend, with
airlines planning nearly 21% more seats than a year earlier.
Across the Atlantic, the United States is forecast to
maintain its strong momentum, posting an 8.7% increase in available seats for
July. Belgium is also expected to outperform the average with projected growth
of 10.3%.
Latin American markets maintain positive momentum
Among Spain's Latin American source markets, Colombia
and Mexico account for the largest scheduled capacity for July.
Seat availability from Colombia is expected to
increase by 7.2%, while Mexico is projected to record growth of 8.6%,
underlining the continued strength of transatlantic demand during the summer
season.
