Disney Cruise Line, together with Marina Bay partners
UOB, Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore Tourism Board, has concluded a
three-night sky show at Marina Bay celebrating the arrival of the Disney
Adventure. The event, held from 13 to 15 March, was the largest simultaneous
drone and fireworks show ever staged in Singapore and formed part of the
“Adventure Begins: A Magical Bay Celebration with Disney Cruise Line”.
Largest sky show in Singapore to date
The 10-minute spectacle combined fireworks, drones and
music to bring Disney storytelling to life across the Marina Bay skyline.
Inspired by the Disney Adventure and its seven themed areas, the show featured
choreographed sequences set to well-known Disney songs, including “Let It Go”.
Highlights included visual displays referencing themed
onboard worlds such as San Fransokyo Street, Marvel Landing and Toy Story
Place, which were recreated in the night sky through synchronized drone
formations and fireworks.
Local elements meet Disney storytelling
A distinctive feature of the show was the integration
of local cultural motifs. Peranakan-inspired designs illuminated the skyline,
referencing Singapore’s national flower, the Vanda Miss Joaquim, as well as the
iconic Merlion. These elements created a visual link between Disney Cruise
Line’s global brand and Singapore’s cultural identity, marking the city as the
homeport of the Disney Adventure.
Strong public response at Marina Bay
Over three evenings, large crowds gathered around
Marina Bay to experience the performances, which were visible across the
waterfront. The combination of visual effects, music and storytelling created a
vibrant atmosphere and underscored the significance of the ship’s arrival in
Asia.
Festivities continue through April
Although the sky show has concluded, the wider
celebration will continue until 30 April 2026. Visitors can explore themed
photo installations, take part in activities and benefit from special
promotions across participating venues in the Marina Bay precinct.
The Disney Adventure, inspired by more than a century
of Disney, Marvel and Pixar storytelling, began its maiden voyage on 10 March
2026 and will continue to sail from Singapore on three- and four-night
itineraries.
