Seabourn, the leader in ultra-luxury voyages and
expedition travel, has announced that Seabourn Encore will sail to Alaska and
British Columbia for the very first time in 2026. Building on the success of
past Alaska seasons, the ship will operate 17 seven-day sailings and one
eight-day voyage between May and September 2026. Guests will have the option to
combine itineraries for extended 14- or 15-day journeys.
Itineraries blending iconic highlights and hidden gems
The 2026 program has been carefully designed to offer
unrivaled access to the region, combining marquee ports such as Juneau and
Ketchikan with smaller, off-the-beaten-path destinations including Alert Bay,
the Inian Islands, and remote stretches of the Inside Passage. Every voyage
will include glacier viewing, with more sailings into Glacier Bay National Park
than any other luxury cruise line.
Mark Tamis, President of Seabourn, said:
“Alaska continues to be one of the most sought-after
destinations for our guests, and we are thrilled to bring Seabourn Encore to
the region for the very first time. From exploring remote waterways to
authentic coastal towns rich with culture and history, our 2026 season offers
experiences beyond the expected, bringing guests closer to Alaska's wildlife
and communities with the comfort of an ultra-luxury, all-suite ship.”
Ventures by Seabourn: immersive exploration
At the heart of Seabourn’s Alaska program is Ventures
by Seabourn, a collection of expert-led optional excursions. Guests may kayak
pristine waters, explore fjords by Zodiac, or get close to glaciers and whales.
Each voyage will be accompanied by Seabourn’s expedition team of naturalists,
scientists, historians and wildlife experts, who guide tours and enrich the
onboard experience with insights and informal interactions.
Every guest will receive a complimentary custom Helly
Hansen all-weather jacket, while Premium Suite guests will have access to Swarovski
Optik binoculars for use throughout the voyage.
Glacier Bay: UNESCO World Heritage Site
A highlight of the season is Glacier Bay National Park,
where dramatic tidewater glaciers, towering peaks, and abundant wildlife
provide a spectacular setting. Seabourn’s expanded access will allow guests to
experience multiple glaciers on a single journey.
