Ryanair, Europe’s and Poland’s largest airline, has
announced its 2025 winter flight schedule for Katowice Airport, featuring 15
routes, including three new destinations — Budapest, Brussels, and Trapani —
alongside additional flights to popular sunny getaways such as Alicante,
Athens, and Catania.
This winter, three Ryanair aircraft will be based in
Katowice, marking an investment of USD 300 million and reinforcing the
airport’s role as a key regional hub in the carrier’s Polish network. The new
schedule is expected to deliver 1.3 million passengers annually and support over
1,000 local jobs.
Expanding connectivity and opportunities
Ryanair continues to expand across Central and Eastern
Europe, with Katowice playing a central role in the airline’s Polish growth
strategy. To further support its operations, Ryanair has also launched a recruitment
campaign for cadet pilots starting in 2026, offering 100 positions to aspiring
aviators eager to begin their careers with Europe’s largest airline.
Details on the application process are available at careers.ryanair.com/jobs.
Special promotional fares
To celebrate the announcement, Ryanair has introduced
a limited-time fare promotion, with tickets starting from PLN 119, available
exclusively at ryanair.com.
Statements from Ryanair and Katowice Airport
Michał Kaczmarzyk, CEO of Buzz (Ryanair Group), said:
“Ryanair continues to grow in Poland, investing in
regional airports such as Katowice, which play a key role in improving
transport connectivity, developing tourism, and supporting local economies.
Our 2025 winter schedule includes 15 routes – among
them three new connections to Budapest, Brussels, and Trapani – offering
passengers even more winter travel options.
This schedule will be operated by three aircraft based
in Katowice, representing an investment of USD 300 million and supporting over
1,000 jobs in the region. At the same time, we are investing in the future of
Polish aviation by creating 100 new cadet pilot positions for 2026. Recruitment
is already underway, providing a unique opportunity to start a career with
Europe’s largest airline.”
Artur Tomasik, President of the Management Board of
the Upper Silesian Aviation Association (Katowice Airport), added:
“Ryanair has significantly expanded its flight
offering from Katowice this year. In the first three quarters of 2025, the
airline carried 14% more passengers through our airport than in the same period
last year. Thanks in part to Ryanair’s dynamic operations, we will surpass 7
million passengers for the first time in our airport’s history.”
