The
property marks a milestone in sustainable hospitality. Verified by TÜV
Rheinland, it already meets the 2040 requirements of the Net Zero Methodology
for Hotels, placing it well ahead of the Group’s 2050 Net Zero target. Formerly
the Park Inn by Radisson, the fully transformed building now offers guests easy
access to Oslo landmarks such as the Opera House, the Munch Museum, and the
Royal Palace Gardens.
A
new standard for city hospitality
Radisson
RED Oslo City Centre combines high design with an inclusive atmosphere,
offering a restaurant, bar, lounge, gym, and six meeting rooms for up to 100
guests. Its interiors feature bold colors, tech-forward amenities, and social
spaces designed for connection and creativity.
At
the forefront of climate-conscious travel
Built
in 1939, the hotel has undergone an extensive transformation to meet rigorous
Verified Net Zero standards. It runs entirely on 100% renewable energy, offers low-carbon
menus in partnership with Klimato, and operates with minimal waste initiatives
including food waste tracking, recycling partnerships, and plastic-free
amenities.

the first two Verified Net Zero hotels is a significant milestone,” said Inge

Group. “With most buildings that must reach Net Zero by 2050 already in
existence, transforming current properties is essential.”
Remaining
emissions are offset through carbon removal certificates from regenerative
farming projects across Europe. Guests can experience these efforts directly,
from renewable energy to digital tools reducing paper use, bulk bathroom
amenities, and recycling in all rooms.
