Qatar Airways has expanded its global network with 18
new routes to the United States and South America through enhanced codeshare
agreements with Aer Lingus and LEVEL, both part of the International Airlines
Group (IAG). The move significantly boosts connectivity between the Middle
East, Europe, and the Americas, reinforcing Qatar Airways’ position as one of
the world’s leading global carriers.
Enhanced transatlantic access through Dublin and
Barcelona
Through Dublin Airport (DUB), Qatar Airways passengers
can now connect to 11 U.S. destinations operated by Aer Lingus, including Boston,
Bradley International (Connecticut), Cleveland, Indianapolis, Minneapolis,
Nashville, Newark, Orlando, Philadelphia, Washington Dulles, and soon Las Vegas.
Via Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN), passengers can
fly on LEVEL to Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Buenos
Aires, and soon Santiago (Chile).
These partnerships complement Qatar Airways’ existing
network of over 170 global destinations, providing seamless travel options
across the Atlantic.
A milestone in IAG partnership expansion
The collaboration follows the successful launch of the
Aer Lingus codeshare in 2024, now expanded to include more U.S. cities, and the
re-introduction of LEVEL codeshares from Barcelona. Together, they strengthen
the strategic bridge connecting Asia and the Middle East with North and South
America through IAG’s European hubs.
Mr. Thierry Antinori, Chief Commercial Officer of
Qatar Airways, said:
“At Qatar Airways, we believe in offering passengers
broader and greater choices to reach their preferred destinations. Together
with our IAG partners Aer Lingus and LEVEL, we are setting a new benchmark for
convenience and connectivity with 18 additional routes to the U.S. and South
America. This strategic progress enhances our award-winning service in both
regions and connects travellers to our extensive global network through Hamad
International Airport — the Best Airport in the Middle East as voted by Skytrax
in 2025.”
Partners’ perspectives
Susanne Carberry, Chief Customer Officer at Aer
Lingus, said:
“Aer Lingus is delighted to partner with Qatar
Airways, offering its customers access to key U.S. destinations. Travellers
benefit from our growing North American network and the convenience of Dublin
Airport’s U.S. Pre-Clearance facility, allowing passengers to arrive in the
United States as domestic travellers.”
Lucía Adrover, Chief Commercial and Network Officer at
LEVEL, added:
“Re-introducing our partnership with Qatar Airways
strengthens Barcelona’s long-haul connectivity and links the Middle East and
Asia with the Americas. LEVEL’s next-generation model delivers a seamless and
competitive travel experience across continents.”
Seamless benefits for travellers
The extended codeshare agreements are part of Qatar
Airways’ comprehensive collaboration with all IAG airlines, including British
Airways, Iberia, LEVEL, Vueling, and Aer Lingus, consolidating its market
leadership in Europe.
Qatar Airways Privilege Club members can earn and
redeem Avios on these new codeshare routes, enjoying access to travel rewards
and exclusive experiences through Privilege Club Collection.
Global excellence, enhanced reach
With this expansion, Qatar Airways continues to
redefine international air travel, connecting passengers across five continents
with its signature service and award-winning onboard experience.
