Qatar Airways expands summer network to more than 160 destinations

Qatar Airways has expanded its global network for Summer 2026, serving more than 160 destinations worldwide. As part of its ongoing network restoration, the airline is resuming flights to 26 destinations across Africa, the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe, while increasing frequencies on selected routes to meet growing international demand.

Global network continues to expand

Following the gradual restoration of services that began in March 2026, Qatar Airways has rebuilt its international network to more than 160 destinations. Alongside the previously announced launch of Port Sudan on 2 July, the airline is resuming services to a range of key markets across its global network.

The expansion follows another milestone for the carrier, which was named the World's Best Airline by Skytrax for the ninth time in 2025.

More destinations and higher frequencies

In Africa, Qatar Airways is resuming flights to Kigali, Seychelles and Marrakesh.

The airline is also strengthening its presence in the Americas with the launch of services to Caracas and Bogotá from 22 July, the return of Philadelphia from 1 August and the restoration of four weekly flights to Boston. To support travel demand during the FIFA World Cup 2026™, Boston will increase to daily service, while additional frequencies will also be introduced to Los Angeles, Miami and San Francisco.

Across Asia and the Asia-Pacific region, services are returning to Adelaide, Almaty, Auckland, Baku, Osaka, Tashkent, Tbilisi, Tokyo Haneda and Yerevan, with Tokyo Haneda increasing to daily flights from 1 July.

In Europe, the restored network includes Belgrade, Brussels, Budapest, Düsseldorf, Helsinki, Lisbon, Oslo, Prague and Zagreb. Helsinki will also increase to daily operations from 1 August.

Focus on reliability and passenger experience

Qatar Airways says its expansion is supported by operational reliability and an enhanced travel experience through its hub at Hamad International Airport. In 2025, the airline achieved an on-time performance of 84.42%, earning Cirium's Platinum Award for Operational Excellence.

Passengers also benefit from seamless transfers through Hamad International Airport, extensive shopping and dining facilities at Qatar Duty Free, and the airline's Privilege Club loyalty programme, where members can earn and redeem Avios.

Starlink available across growing fleet

The airline continues to expand onboard connectivity with Starlink, offering high-speed internet across more than 140 aircraft. According to Qatar Airways, this makes it the world's first and largest Starlink-equipped widebody fleet, with Wi-Fi speeds of up to 500 Mbps available in both Premium and Economy cabins.

Qatar Airways advises passengers to check the airline's website or mobile app regularly for the latest flight information, as schedules may change for operational, regulatory or safety reasons.
