Princess Cruises has unveiled its 2027–2028 West Coast
program, featuring 70 sailings on 13 itineraries from September 2027 through
April 2028. Eight Princess ships will operate the season, offering voyages from
four to 16 days to Mexico, Hawaii, and the California Coast.
The line’s newest ship, Star Princess, joins a fleet
that also includes Coral Princess, Crown Princess, Discovery Princess, Emerald
Princess, Island Princess, Royal Princess, and Ruby Princess. Departures from
Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Vancouver give guests convenient access to
diverse itineraries combining relaxation, discovery, and scenic cruising.
“Princess Cruises has been Los Angeles’ hometown
cruise line for nearly 60 years, and no one sails the West Coast quite like we
do,” said Jim Berra, Chief Commercial Officer. “Our long-standing presence here
is a point of pride and a promise that we’ll continue to deliver exceptional
experiences across the Pacific Coast, Mexico, and Hawaii.”
Mexico – Sunshine and Culture
Three ships — Crown Princess, Discovery Princess, and Ruby
Princess — will sail 34 departures on four itineraries, visiting eight
destinations including Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta. Voyages of seven to
11 days feature flexible roundtrip departures from Los Angeles or San
Francisco, with select cruises offering late-night or overnight stays in Cabo
San Lucas. Guests can expect a mix of adventure, relaxation, and local cultural
encounters.
Hawaii – Island-Hopping Adventures
The Crown Princess, Emerald Princess, and Ruby
Princess will operate 18 departures on two 16-day roundtrip itineraries from
Los Angeles or San Francisco. These extended sailings visit four Hawaiian
Islands, combining scenic cruising with cultural immersion. Highlights include overnight
calls at Honolulu and Kona, allowing guests to experience the islands’ volcanic
landscapes and traditional Aloha hospitality.
California Coast – Iconic Ports Close to Home
Eight Princess ships will sail 17 departures across nine
itineraries along the U.S. and Canadian West Coast. Voyages call at nine ports,
including San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, and Victoria (B.C.), with late-night
stays in several destinations. Itineraries offer a mix of coastal charm,
culinary discovery, and outdoor exploration, showcasing the diversity of the
Pacific coastline.
Sailing the Pacific in Princess Style
From sailing under San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge
to cruising past El Arco in Cabo San Lucas or the Lions Gate Bridge in
Vancouver, Princess guests experience the region’s most dramatic coastal
scenery from a unique vantage point.
On board, local culture comes alive through Mexican
tequila tastings, Hawaiian lei-making and hula classes, and California-inspired
food-and-wine experiences. The cruise line’s wine program — recognised by Wine
Spectator for excellence — includes exclusive Caymus Vineyards Winemaker
Dinners and Gérard Bertrand Tastings aboard Star Princess.
Effortless West Coast Exploration
With departures from three major gateway cities,
Princess offers a “no-car-needed” way to explore the Pacific coast. Travellers
can embark close to home and experience a wide range of destinations without
long flights or complex itineraries.
