Oceania Cruises has revealed a dramatically evolved
suite collection for Oceania Sonata, the first vessel in the new Sonata Class,
set to debut in August 2027. Designed for today’s luxury traveler, the ship
will feature a significantly expanded suite offering, with 33 percent of all
accommodations dedicated to suites. At 86,000 gross tons and accommodating just
1,390 guests with a crew of 855, Oceania Sonata is positioned to deliver
exceptional space, comfort and service.
“We have listened closely to the desires of our guests
and are delighted to unveil Oceania Sonata’s thoughtfully reimagined suite
accommodations,” said Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises.
He described the ship as a showcase of spacious design and meticulous
craftsmanship, reflecting the brand’s commitment to refined experiences and
distinctive hospitality.
Owner’s Suites: the pinnacle of space and privacy
At the top of the accommodation spectrum are four
Owner’s Suites, each exceeding 2,500 square feet and occupying the aft corners
of Decks 10 and 11. Offering sweeping 180-degree ocean views from expansive
wraparound verandas, these suites introduce a first for the line: two full
bedrooms. Each features a primary suite with a king-size bed and spa-inspired
marble bathroom, alongside a guest bedroom with a queen-size bed, private bath
and floor-to-ceiling glass doors opening onto the veranda.
Vista Suites rivaling luxury resorts
The eight Vista Suites, ranging from more than 1,500
to over 1,900 square feet, are terraced at the ship’s aft and designed to
mirror the finest shoreside retreats. Large verandas provide uninterrupted
ocean views, while interiors combine plush furnishings with marble detailing.
Generous living and dining areas are complemented by a master bathroom
featuring double vanities, a rainforest shower and a porcelain soaking tub.
Oceania Suites redefined
Sixteen newly reimagined Oceania Suites, sized between
1,000 and more than 1,400 square feet, blend comfort with contemporary
elegance. Flowing living, dining and bedroom spaces open onto private teak
verandas, creating an atmosphere shaped by sea breezes and panoramic views.
Each suite includes a king-size bed and a marble-clad bathroom designed with a
strong emphasis on detail and craftsmanship.
Horizon Suites: a new category
Introducing an entirely new accommodation type, the 50
Horizon Suites are positioned between the Penthouse and Oceania Suite
categories. Offering more than 600 square feet, these suites feature separate
living and sleeping areas, a walk-through wardrobe and an oversized veranda
furnished for relaxation. The design targets travelers seeking aspirational
luxury in a modern, serene setting.
Penthouse and Penthouse Deluxe Suites
Rounding out the suite portfolio are 63 Penthouse
Suites and 82 Penthouse Deluxe Suites, measuring 426 and 488 square feet
respectively. Each offers an elegant retreat with spacious living areas,
floor-to-ceiling glass doors and private verandas designed to maximize ocean
views and tranquility.
Personalized service and refined details
All suites aboard Oceania Sonata include dedicated
butler service. Guests staying in Owner’s, Vista, Oceania and Horizon Suites
will also enjoy in-suite illy® coffee machines. Across the ship, accommodations
are enhanced by Oceania Cruises’ next-generation Tranquility Beds and Aquamar®
luxury bath amenities.
Further details on Oceania Sonata’s design will be
featured in the January 2026 issue of Your World magazine. The ship’s inaugural
itineraries will be available to view on January 21, 2026, with bookings
opening on January 28, 2026. Guests can pre-register for updates at
OceaniaCruises.com/sonata-preview.
