Marriott Bonvoy, the award-winning travel program from
Marriott International, has announced the upcoming launch of its “Pawssible
Journey” program in Greater China, introducing a wide range of pet-friendly
travel experiences that celebrate the bond between guests and their animal
companions.
Built around three signature pillars – “Paw Stay”
themed rooms, “Paw Play” social spaces, and “Paw Mart” retail offerings – the
program will be rolled out across selected Marriott Bonvoy properties starting
in November 2025.
A new era of pet-friendly hospitality
Participating hotels will debut dedicated experiences
that cater to both pets and their owners. The newly opened Moxy Shanghai Putuo
will feature “Paw Stay” rooms for cats and dogs, complete with themed cushions,
mats, bowls, and pet tents. Le Méridien Xi’an Chanba will introduce “Paw Play”
areas, offering pet-friendly afternoon tea and curated activities, while Aloft
Taipei Beitou and other hotels will host “Paw Mart” corners selling exclusive
pet accessories such as bandanas, bowls, and canvas totes.
“Pets have become cherished members of more families
than ever before,” said Betty Tian, Managing Vice President, Customer Group,
Greater China, Marriott International. “With the ‘Pawssible Journey’ program,
we aim to make our hotels a true home away from home for guests and their furry
companions.”
Exclusive “Paw Passport” and membership perks
To make each trip even more memorable, Marriott Bonvoy
will introduce a “Paw Passport” for pet guests. Owners can create a
personalized pet profile upon their first stay, noting details such as breed
and preferences. Pets will then earn collectible stamps—Silver Paw (1 night), Gold
Paw (3 nights), and Platinum Paw (5 nights)—unlocking tiered rewards and
benefits.
Select hotels will also provide Pet-Friendly Maps,
outlining nearby walking routes, cafés, and veterinary clinics, as well as a “Wall
of Paws” featuring photos of four-legged guests. Custom “Paw in Hand” pet
strollers will be available to ensure convenience and comfort during each stay.
Partnerships that go the extra mile
Expanding beyond hotels, Marriott Bonvoy is
collaborating with cross-industry partners to enhance the experience. A special
joint campaign with Juneyao Airlines will offer members the chance to win a “Fly
with Pet” package, including airfare from Shanghai to Beijing and a two-night
stay at a participating Marriott Bonvoy property.
With Pawssible Journey, Marriott Bonvoy is redefining
pet-friendly travel in Greater China—turning every journey into a joyful
adventure for guests and their beloved companions.
