Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has reached a new milestone in its
global expansion with the opening of its 9,000th hotel, the Signia by Hilton La
Cantera Resort & Spa in Texas. The achievement highlights the strong
preference of owners for Hilton’s brands and comes just one year after
surpassing the 8,000-hotel mark, reflecting nearly three hotel openings per day
worldwide.
A landmark luxury opening
The new Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort & Spa,
a luxury conversion property, features 496 guest rooms, including 34
boutique-style villas and an exclusive adults-only floor. The design blends
refined interiors with Texas Hill Country inspiration, marking a significant
addition to Hilton’s luxury portfolio.
Global growth momentum
Hilton’s rapid development is supported by a robust
pipeline of more than 3,600 hotels currently under construction. Recent
milestones include:
Over 1,000 luxury and lifestyle hotels now operating
globally, with more than 200 signed this year.
1,000 properties across both Asia Pacific and EMEA.
Ambitious regional plans, including a tenfold
expansion in India, tripling its portfolio in Africa, and quadrupling its
presence in Saudi Arabia.
Surpassing operational benchmarks in key markets:
6,000 hotels in the U.S., 200 in Canada, 500 in Florida, and 100 in Italy.
Brand strength and owner partnerships
“Reaching this milestone of 9,000 hotels is a powerful
testament to our commitment to being owners’ partner of choice,” said Christian
Charnaux, executive vice president and chief development officer, Hilton. “Our
brands consistently deliver industry-leading performance, enabling us to expand
into new markets every day. With just 5% of the global room share but 21% of
rooms under construction, Hilton has tremendous opportunity for further
growth.”
Outlook
Hilton’s milestone underscores the enduring strength
of its brand portfolio and owner partnerships, positioning the company for
continued expansion well beyond its 9,000th property.
