Journeys, the luxury lifestyle ocean travel brand of the MSC Group, has
revealed its highly anticipated 2027–2028 Journeys Collection. Spanning nearly
100 sailings across five continents, the new season introduces the brand’s
first-ever itineraries in Asia and celebrates the launch of EXPLORA V, the
fifth ship in the fleet.
Landmark
debut in Asia
Asia
takes center stage with 28 immersive Journeys aboard EXPLORA III, visiting 47
destinations across Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia,
Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore – all maiden calls. Guests will enjoy
overnight stays in cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Ho Chi
Minh City and Bali, allowing for deeper cultural discovery. Itineraries align
with iconic seasonal highlights, from Kyoto’s autumn leaves to Japan’s spring
cherry blossoms, and coincide with major events including Chinese Golden Week
and Lunar New Year.
“The
introduction of Asia is a landmark moment for our brand and for our guests,”
said Anna Nash, President of Explora Journeys. “Alongside the launch of EXPLORA
V, this collection invites travellers to slow down, look deeper and connect
more meaningfully with new parts of the world.”
EXPLORA
V: Mediterranean, Red Sea and Arabian Peninsula
Launching
in December 2027, EXPLORA V begins with voyages through the Mediterranean
during its quiet season. Her inaugural itineraries cover 27 destinations across
nine countries, with maiden calls including Salerno on the Amalfi Coast.
Overnight stays in Istanbul and Messina, along with New Year’s Eve in Naples,
highlight the season.
From
spring 2028, the ship will sail east to the Red Sea and Arabian Peninsula,
joining EXPLORA I to explore Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, the UAE, Qatar
and Bahrain. Guests can visit UNESCO World Heritage sites including Petra,
Luxor, the Pyramids of Giza and AlUla, while itineraries feature multiple
overnights for deeper cultural immersion.
Caribbean,
Central America and the Amazon
EXPLORA
II and EXPLORA IV will operate in the Caribbean and Latin America, visiting 51
destinations across 30 countries. Highlights include maiden calls in Port
Antonio (Jamaica) and hidden gems like Jost Van Dyke (BVI). Voyages also extend
into the Amazon, with an overnight in Manaus and visits to remote river
communities.
A
new era for luxury ocean travel
With
nearly 200 destinations in total, the 2027–2028 Journeys Collection reaffirms
Explora Journeys’ commitment to transforming ocean travel into purposeful,
enriching exploration. The launch of EXPLORA V and the expansion into Asia
reflect the brand’s continued evolution of its Ocean State of Mind philosophy –
inspiring mindful connection and discovery across the globe.
