EVA Air has been ranked eighth worldwide in the “Top
25 Safest Full-Service Airlines for 2026” by AirlineRatings.com. The
distinction marks the airline’s 13th consecutive year on the globally
recognized safety list and makes EVA Air the only carrier from Taiwan to appear
among the world’s top ten safest airlines.
Consistent safety performance since the airline’s
founding
Since its establishment in 1989, EVA Air has
maintained an exceptional safety record, with no major accidents reported. From
the outset, flight safety has been positioned as a core priority, supported by
rigorous operational standards and continuous investment in safety management.
Over the years, this approach has resulted in repeated recognition from
international aviation organizations.
“Flight safety is the most important and
non-negotiable core value of EVA Air,” said Clay Sun, President of EVA Air.
“Being recognized by AirlineRatings.com for 13 consecutive years is the
greatest encouragement and honor for all our employees who have consistently
upheld a strong safety culture and rigorously implemented standard operating
procedures. We will continue to enhance our safety management systems and
strengthen risk prevention mechanisms to provide passengers with the safest and
most reliable flying experience.”
Independent assessment based on stringent criteria
AirlineRatings.com is regarded as one of the world’s
leading independent aviation rating platforms. Its annual safety evaluation is
based on a comprehensive set of criteria, including an airline’s accident and
incident history, fleet age, international safety audits, pilot training
programmes, maintenance standards and overall operational management. These
benchmarks are designed to ensure a high level of transparency, professionalism
and credibility in the rankings.
Safety as the foundation for service excellence
The 2026 ranking not only affirms EVA Air’s long-term
commitment to flight safety but also serves as motivation for the airline’s
workforce to maintain the highest standards across all operations. In parallel
with its focus on safety, EVA Air continues to invest in service enhancements
and onboard comfort, reinforcing its ambition to combine operational excellence
with a high-quality passenger experience.
Further information on EVA Air’s services, global
route network and flight bookings is available on the airline’s official
