Delta expands Boston’s European reach with new routes

Delta is adding more Europe to its Boston schedule with two new nonstop routes launching next spring: Madrid (MAD) on May 16 and Nice (NCE) on May 17. From historic capitals to Mediterranean shores, these additions bring Europe’s most sought-after destinations within easier reach.

“As Boston’s leading carrier, Delta plays a key role in linking the city to the world,” said Paul Baldoni, Senior Vice President of Network Planning. “With nonstop flights to Madrid and Nice, we’re expanding our European network and reinforcing our commitment to delivering a premium travel experience.”

Madrid, Nice and beyond

The new flights highlight two very different but equally iconic destinations: Madrid with its grand boulevards and lively culture, and Nice with the relaxed charm of the French Riviera. Delta will operate daily flights to Madrid and three flights a week to Nice (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays), along with seamless onward connections across Europe.

With these additions, Delta’s Boston network will grow to 12 European destinations. Enhanced schedules to Barcelona (daily from May 7) and Milan (four times weekly from May 16) will also offer earlier seasonal starts and more flexibility.

Boston as a global gateway

Delta has nearly tripled its service from Boston over the past 20 years, expanding from 25 to about 70 destinations. Together with its partners, the airline now connects Boston to four continents with roughly 20 daily international departures.

Travelers departing Logan Airport benefit from upgraded ground services: the new Delta One Lounge (6,700 square feet of fine dining, tailored service, and nautical design touches) and the expanded Delta Sky Club (21,000 square feet with work booths, shower suites, and varied dining options), ranked among USA Today’s top 10 U.S. airport lounges.

On board: enhanced comfort

Flights to Madrid and Nice will be operated with the Airbus A330-900neo. Passengers can choose among four cabin experiences, including Delta One® with lie-flat seating, chef-designed menus, and Missoni amenity kits. Across all cabins, guests enjoy curated meals, Delta Studio entertainment, and free Wi-Fi for SkyMiles members courtesy of T-Mobile.

“We welcome Delta’s commitment to Boston Logan and are excited about new service to Spain and France, with Nice becoming our 60th international destination,” said Massport CEO Rich Davey. “Starting next spring, travelers will have even more choice for business and leisure trips to Europe.”

Investing in Boston

With more than 2,000 employees in Massachusetts, Delta is a long-standing part of the local community. Through the Delta Air Lines Foundation, the carrier supports education, sustainability, and community development in partnership with more than a dozen organizations.
