As it celebrates its 75th anniversary, Club Med—the
pioneer of the all-inclusive holiday concept—continues to redefine premium
leisure travel through bold expansion, record performance, and a renewed
commitment to sustainability.
In the first half of 2025, Club Med’s Mountain Resorts
recorded a 7% increase in Business Volume and a 6% rise in ADR, while its Exclusive
Collection luxury line saw ADR growth of 6%, underscoring global demand for
upscale all-inclusive experiences. More than 1.5 million guests stayed at Club
Med resorts in fiscal 2024, 75% of them international—up 12 points in a decade.
“Club Med delivered strong results in the first half
of 2025, reflecting the success of our premium strategy and the dedication of
our teams worldwide,” said Stéphane Maquaire, President of Club Med. “Forward
bookings show continued momentum, supported by robust demand for mountain
destinations and upscale experiences. With 75 years of heritage and disciplined
expansion, we are building the next chapter of Club Med’s success.”
75 Years of L’Esprit Libre
To mark its anniversary, Club Med launched a global
campaign celebrating L’Esprit Libre—the brand’s spirit of freedom and
reinvention. Using seven and a half decades of archival imagery, the initiative
retraces the company’s journey from its Mediterranean roots to a worldwide
network spanning five continents.
“Seventy-five years is not only a milestone but a
reflection of continuous innovation,” said Carolyne Doyon, President & CEO,
North America and the Caribbean. “Our renovations in Punta Cana and Cancun
embody our vision for the future—enhancing guest experiences while staying true
to the spirit that defines Club Med.”
Major Renovation at Flagship Club Med Punta Cana
This autumn, the brand’s flagship resort in the
Dominican Republic unveils five large-scale renovations designed by GG&Grace
International. Highlights include:
·
Costa del Coco Deluxe Rooms with tranquil coastal design, private
balconies, and spa-inspired bathrooms.
·
The Buena Vista Lounge, a panoramic open-air welcome space with lush
landscaping and ocean views.
·
El Mundo Food Club, a re-imagined global dining experience featuring
five culinary concepts—from French to Asian to Mediterranean.
·
Joia Bar, a relaxed, “Casita”-style poolside venue for day-to-night
socializing.
·
The Coffee Shop, offering locally roasted blends, pastries, and tropical
charm.
All upgrades integrate the company’s “Happy to Care”
sustainability framework: energy-efficient design, locally sourced materials,
reduced water and power use, and produce partnerships with over 40 local
farmers through the Green Farmers program.
New Resorts and Global Growth
Club Med continues to expand its international
footprint with new projects in Canada and Italy and the upcoming Club Med South
Africa Beach & Safari Resort, opening 2026.
Located on the KwaZulu-Natal Dolphin Coast, the South
African property will be the brand’s first in the country, combining a beach
resort and a private Mpilo Safari Lodge within an 18,000-hectare reserve. It
will feature 411 rooms, a surf school, multiple pools, and a Wellness Center,
targeting Green Globe and 4-Star Green Star certifications.
To mark the resort’s launch, Club Med will offer a special
global sale from October 13 to 17, 2025, with savings of up to $990 per person
for stays between May 30 and November 27, 2026.
Wellness Focus in the Caribbean
From January 18 to February 14, 2026, Club Med Michès
Playa Esmeralda in the Dominican Republic will host its first Wellness Fusion
Retreat—a four-week immersive program blending yoga, sound healing, cold-plunge
therapy, mindful nutrition, and creative workshops led by over 20 international
experts.
