China has announced a one-year extension of its visa-free
entry policy, allowing citizens from participating countries to continue
entering the country without a visa until 31 December 2026.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning confirmed that
the visa exemption currently applied to France and several other nations will
remain in force for another year. She also announced that Swedish citizens will
be newly eligible for visa-free entry from 10 November 2025 through 31 December
2026.
According to a separate statement by China’s Consular
Affairs Department, the country’s unilateral visa-free policy now covers 45
nations, facilitating travel and strengthening China’s international
connectivity as part of its broader strategy to boost tourism and business
exchanges.
