Hilton (NYSE:
HLT) today announced a franchise agreement to open two resort properties under
the Curio Collection by Hilton brand, managed and operated
by Brown Hotels in Greece. Isla Brown Chania Resort, Curio Collection by
Hilton, and Isla Brown Corinthia Resort and Spa, Curio Collection by Hilton,
will welcome guests in time for the summer season. Both hotels will feature
multiple swimming pools, several dining and drinking outlets and striking
design elements throughout, reflecting each property’s unique character.
“Hilton is focused on our continued growth in
Greece, with plans to triple our presence in the coming years,” said Alan
Mantin, managing director, development, Southern Europe, Hilton. “The
popularity of resort hotels, both with owners and guests, has helped us to
enter new destinations across the region. We’re thrilled to start our
cooperation with Brown Hotels, who will manage and operate the hotels, to bring
these fantastic properties into our portfolio and welcome guests later this
year. In the last five years alone, we’ve doubled our portfolio of hotels at
resorts in Europe, Middle East and Africa, now with almost 80 hotels, and owner
demand in markets like Greece is contributing significantly to our growth in
this segment.”
Leon Avigad, founder and co-owner, Brown Hotels
said, "We’re excited to partner with Hilton to open Isla Brown Chania
Resort and Isla Brown Corinthia Resort and Spa under the Curio Collection by
Hilton brand. Isla Brown Chania Resort and Isla Brown Corinthia Resort and Spa
will offer an unparalleled guest experience in time for the 2024 summer season
and as we introduce more guest rooms at both properties, we look forward to
sharing that experience with more visitors to Chania and Corinthia, through our
partnership with Hilton and its Curio Collection”.
Isla Brown Corinthia Resort & Spa, Curio
Collection by Hilton
Situated along the Athens Riviera, only one hour
drive from the buzzing capital, Isla Brown Corinthia Resort & Spa, Curio
Collection by Hilton, will offer guests unobstructed sea views overlooking the
Saronic Gulf from the hotel’s 166 guest rooms, each featuring a private
balcony. For an even better view, guests will be able to head to the hotel’s
550 square meter rooftop to grab a drink at the bar or relax on loungers beside
fire pits that light the rooftop at night.
In addition to the rooftop bar, guests will be able
to sample the flavors of the Greek islands at the hotel’s charming taverna,
buffet restaurant, lobby bar or pool bar to get a quick bite, indulgent meal or
delicious cocktail. The hotel will feature two swimming pools and immediate
access to a private beach, as well as an expansive gym and award-winning spa
offering five treatment rooms, a sauna and a hammam. Additionally, the hotel’s
multi-purpose modular meetings and events space can host up to 400 guests and
is a perfect option for corporate and social events.
The creative vision of the team at Elastic
Architects for Isla Brown Corinthia has been acknowledged by the IDA with the
‘Gold’ architecture prize in the ‘Hotels & Resorts’ category by the
International Design Awards (IDA) 2022.
The hotel’s design has its inspiration rooted in
ancient Greek mythology, creating a unique, local story throughout the
property. The clean and contemporary aesthetic features curved interiors that
offer a sense of serenity and calm alongside exciting and playful architecture
and design elements. The light-filled palette and the hotel’s organic curves
were crafted with the intention of the structure to appear as an extension of
the landscape.
