Avianca Resumes Daily Flights Between Bogotá and Caracas

Colombia-based Avianca has resumed daily nonstop flights between Bogotá and Caracas, Venezuela, reinstating an important air link between the two capitals. The service returned to regular operation following a comprehensive assessment of operational and aviation safety conditions carried out in coordination with Colombian and Venezuelan authorities.

Daily Service with Airbus A320

Avianca will operate the route daily using an Airbus A320 aircraft. Flight AV142 departs Bogotá at 07:40 local time, arriving in Caracas at around 10:40, while the return flight AV143 leaves Caracas at 12:10 and lands in Bogotá early afternoon.

Decades of Connectivity

The Bogotá–Caracas route holds historical significance for Avianca, which has a long-standing presence in Venezuela dating back more than six decades. The airline’s president, Gabriel Oliva, noted that restoring daily operations strengthens ties and reflects Avianca’s ongoing commitment to the market.

Boost for Regional Travel and Tourism

The resumption of daily flights is expected to enhance connectivity between Colombia and Venezuela and support travel, tourism and business links in the region as commercial aviation activity normalizes.
