The hotel chain will support their Impact Programme, which is designed and delivered by specialised professionals known as Link Workers. These professionals play a vital role building a trusted relationship with vulnerable children and young people, and being the link with their families, schools and the community, guaranteeing personalised and ongoing support. This initiative is part of the Impact Programme's delivered in South Westminster, London, which has also been home to the Riu Plaza London Victoria hotel since 2023.
All-Child, founded in 2015, brings local communities together to build support networks that promote the social, emotional and academic development of vulnerable children and young people. Its core aim not only benefits them, but also their families, schools and early intervention public services.
Children are identified for the Programme based on social, emotional and educational risk criteria, provided by schools and community workers. Young people receive a comprehensive two-year development plan as part of the Impact Programme, which includes activities adapted to their needs, comprising an average of thirty-five hours of additional support.
This project will be carried out at three schools in South Westminster (Millbank Academy, Pimlico Academy and Pimlico Primary), directly benefitting 70 children, and their families. The aim is to generate positive change in the school community and surrounding area.
This initiative is the result of the RIU Method, a tool created in collaboration with ESCP Business School to identify local needs and establish strategic alliances. It is also part of the Communities and Natural Environments pillar of its Proudly Committed sustainability strategy.
