Tourexpi
SunExpress,
the leisure carrier jointly owned by Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, is
bringing even more flavour to the skies with its new onboard menu. The
refreshed offering blends Western European tastes with Turkish-Mediterranean
classics, reflecting the airline’s mission of connecting people and cultures –
also through food.
“With
our new menu, we are taking the onboard experience to a new level. It combines
top quality, greater variety, and the wishes of our guests into a balanced
concept,” said Liane Wagner, Manager Cabin Experience & Inflight Retail at
SunExpress. “It was especially important to us to incorporate valuable
passenger feedback – resulting in a menu selection that unites cultural
diversity and culinary enjoyment.”
Diverse
Menu Options
The
expanded range includes everything from a light Afternoon Tea set to hearty hot
dishes. Highlights include:
·
Chicken Café de Paris – tender chicken
fillet in a herb butter sauce with grilled zucchini and peppers
·
Adana Kebab – spicy grilled minced
meat with bulgur and aubergine purée, a tribute to Turkey’s rich food culture
·
Mezze Plate – a vegetarian classic
with rice, aubergine, and lentil balls
·
Macaroni and Cheese – creamy cheddar
pasta with Mediterranean flavours
·
Vegan Falafel – with jasmine rice,
grilled vegetables, and fresh lemony salads
·
Children’s Menu – chicken with fries
and fruit yoghurt for dessert
At
breakfast, guests can choose between cold options with bread rolls, cold cuts,
vegetables, and fruit, or warm dishes such as omelette, börek, or pancakes with
berries.
All
menus include a starter, main course, dessert, and a non-alcoholic drink – now
included in the price. Meals start at €9.99, with hot dishes available from
€12.99.
Celebration
Cake at 30,000 Feet
A
special highlight is the newly introduced Celebration Cake. Whether for a
birthday, anniversary, or other occasion, this handcrafted cake is served in a
stylish presentation box with a carry handle – perfect for continuing the
celebration after landing.
Easy
Pre-Booking
Meals
can be conveniently pre-ordered during flight booking or up to 36 hours before
departure via “Manage My Booking” on the SunExpress website. Travel agencies
can also arrange advance booking. The existing buy-on-board menu remains
available.
