The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced
the return of the “DNA Travel and Fair 2025 (Destination Navigator
Assessment),” taking place from 9 to 12 October at the Queen Sirikit National
Convention Centre in Bangkok. Held under the theme “Thailand’s Subculture:
Decode Your Journey,” the event highlights the diversity of Thai subcultures
through interactive exhibits and activities designed to inspire personalised
travel experiences that reflect lifestyle and identity.
Inspiring personalised journeys
TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool said:
“The DNA Travel and Fair aims to decode the interests,
lifestyles, and identities of travellers, and connect these to personalised
travel itineraries. Subcultures represent individual passions and distinctive
ways of life, and are increasingly shaping travel behaviours. These are diverse
and quality segments that the tourism industry must embrace, and TAT is
committed to inspiring them to explore more of Thailand.”
Five themed lifestyle zones
A highlight of the fair is the “Immersive Room: Your
DNA – The Black Box,” a virtual lab that interprets visitor identities through
the colours of Thailand’s subcultures. Beyond this experience, the fair is
divided into five lifestyle zones:
·
Thai Pop Zone: rare art toys, official GMM TV merchandise, Alcazar
Cabaret drag shows, and a House of Pop Market with influencers and artists.
·
Siam Style Zone: classic Thai traditions with national costumes, vintage
collections, fortune-telling, and live likay, molam, and luk thung
performances.
·
Work and Play Zone: a hub for digital nomads with TikTok Live Studios,
Foto Club BKK, a co-working café by PunThai Coffee, and creative networking.
·
Lifestyle and Family Zone: family-friendly attractions from Jurassic
World to wellness showcases and carnival-style entertainment.
·
Thai Taste Zone: over 95 restaurants featured on TikTok plus
celebrity-owned eateries, chef workshops, and fine-dining demonstrations.
Performances and highlights
Across the four days, the central stage will feature
live music, Thai textile fashion shows, contemporary instrument performances,
and promotions such as “100 Baht to Work and Travel.” Concerts and appearances
include Keng Harit and Namping Napaskorn (9 October), Palmy and the Song Thep
likay troupe (10 October), Yuki Haithongkham (11 October), and Lamyai
Haithongkham with molam ensemble Rabiab Watasilp (12 October).
Sustainable and accessible
The fair runs daily from 10:00 to 21:00 at Hall 3–4, G
Floor, Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, with easy access via MRT Blue
Line (QSNCC Station), bus lines 136 and 185, taxis, and ride-hailing services.
Aligned with TAT’s sustainable tourism goals, the programme integrates
eco-friendly practices to promote responsible travel and environmental
awareness.
