The
event gathered over a hundred participants, including government
representatives, experts, scholars, and business leaders from China, Indonesia,
Cambodia, Malaysia, and other countries, to discuss strategies for ecological
protection and sustainable development of mangrove ecosystems.
Gao

highlighted the organization's commitment to promoting mangrove conservation by
fostering international collaboration. He stressed the importance of balancing
ecological protection with economic development, aiming to showcase the
"green achievements" of China-Indonesia cooperation to the global
community.
Wang

potential for cooperation between China and Indonesia in the fields of mangrove
and biodiversity conservation. Marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic
relations between the two countries, Wang expressed China’s willingness to
deepen collaboration across economic, social, cultural, and ecological areas,
thereby reinforcing the China-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Zhao

Corporation), remarked that ecological protection is essential for
civilization's survival. The expansion of mangrove forests, he noted, has
provided job opportunities for local communities and enhanced fishery
resources, demonstrating a commitment to improving livelihoods and fostering
global solidarity.
During
the dialogue, scholars from multiple countries presented keynote speeches under
the theme "Protecting Mangroves, Safeguarding Our Blue Planet,"
sharing insights on sustainable mangrove conservation.
Linda
Krisnawati, Senior Environmental Extension Officer at Indonesia’s Ministry of
Environment, spoke on the diverse benefits of mangrove restoration for marine
ecosystems and fisheries. She expressed hope for increased technological
innovation and talent exchange with China. Meas Rithy, Deputy Director of the
Department of Coastal Zone and Marine Conservation at Cambodia's Ministry of
Environment, stressed that mangrove restoration symbolizes cross-border
collaboration and urged collective efforts to revive marine ecosystems for a
greener and more resilient future.
The
event, co-hosted by China International Communications Group, China Energy
Investment Corporation, and Indonesia's State Electricity Company (PT PLN),
concluded with youth representatives from China and Indonesia jointly releasing
