According
to the survey, nearly half (47%) of Indian travellers planning a trip in 2025
have saved up to 126k INR or more, with savings higher among males and
higher-income groups.
The
survey, conducted by Kantar Consumer Link with over 1,000 respondents,
indicates that 25% of Indian travellers plan to visit the UK and Europe, while
18% aim to explore other Asian countries and 16% are interested in Australia,
New Zealand, and the Pacific islands.
Financial
constraints remain a significant barrier to travel, with 84% of non-travellers
citing cost as the primary reason. Personal safety is a key concern for 49% of
travellers, while 48% worry about extreme weather events. Entertainment and
luggage safety are also top priorities.
Notably,
85% of travellers are likely to purchase travel insurance, with higher-income
earners more inclined to buy it. Most prefer buying insurance through travel
websites (43%), while 18% purchase directly from insurers.
