The prestigious award ceremony will take place on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, during the ITB Berlin in Germany’s capital city.
The competition provides an ideal platform for countries, cities, municipalities, regions, restaurants, hotels, and travel agencies to present their creative and innovative marketing projects to an international audience. Submissions can be entered in 16 different categories.
Additionally, the competition offers a valuable opportunity to network with industry professionals and exchange ideas, emotions, and creative approaches. The presentation of films at the festival cinema also allows interested visitors to gather inspiration for their next travel destination.
Over the past 25 years, 110 countries have participated in the “Das Goldene Stadttor” competition with numerous emotional and artistic entries.
An international jury of experts evaluates the submissions using a points system. Alongside the 1st and 2nd Awards and the Special Awards, the most creative and outstanding film across all categories will be honored with the DIAMOND Award. This award is affectionately known in the travel industry as the “Oscar of Tourism.”
