Thailand has given European festivalgoers a preview of
the country’s first Tomorrowland ahead of the event’s Asian debut later this
year. During Tomorrowland Belgium 2026, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT)
presented Thai culture, cuisine and wellness experiences through its Amazing
Thailand Sanctuary.
Tomorrowland Thailand will take place from 11 to 13
December 2026 at Wisdom Valley near Pattaya. It will be the first Asian edition
of the international electronic music festival and forms part of a long-term
partnership between TAT and Tomorrowland.
Thai culture presented to festival audience
The Amazing Thailand Sanctuary introduced visitors in
Belgium to different aspects of the country through the Sabai Sabai Route.
Activities across both festival weekends included traditional performances,
regional food, wellness rituals and interactive cultural experiences.
Performers representing Central, Northern and
Northeastern Thailand presented dance and drumming, while other activities
ranged from incense blessings and gong ceremonies to Thai-inspired food and
cocktails. Thousands of visitors received traditional blessing bracelets
intended to symbolise good fortune and connection.
For Thailand, the presence at Tomorrowland Belgium was
also an opportunity to promote the destination directly to an international
audience likely to travel for music and events.
Thailand sees wider benefits from festival partnership
“We are deeply honoured that Thailand has been chosen
as Tomorrowland’s new home in Asia,” said TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool.
She described the cooperation as a long-term partnership supported by the
tourism authority both financially and logistically.
According to Kiatphaibool, the project is expected to
generate benefits beyond international visitor arrivals. TAT sees opportunities
for Thai artists and creative industries as well as additional employment
linked to the event.
Six stages planned near Pattaya
Tomorrowland Thailand will be presented under the
theme “Consciencia” and feature six immersive stages. The organisers plan to
combine Tomorrowland’s large-scale music production and visual storytelling
with elements of Thai culture and hospitality.
The December event will mark a significant addition to
Thailand’s international events calendar as the country increasingly uses major
music, cultural and entertainment events to attract visitors and strengthen its
position in the global experience-driven tourism market.
