The
Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports,
has officially introduced the “Trusted Thailand” Stamp, a new initiative
designed to reassure international visitors and recognise tourism operators
that meet the highest safety benchmarks.
Vice
Minister of Tourism and Sports, Jakkaphon Tangsutthitham, said the program
underscores the government’s belief that safety is the cornerstone of
sustainable tourism. “This is an invitation for all operators and partners to
work together in advancing Thailand as a safe, secure and globally trusted
destination,” he noted.
The
stamp is aimed particularly at key markets such as China, South Korea, Japan,
the US, the UK and Europe, where travellers place increasing emphasis on safety
when choosing destinations.
TAT
Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool added: “The Trusted Thailand stamp is more than
a symbol – it’s a concrete mechanism to restore confidence and ensure Thailand
meets international standards while making every visitor feel welcome.”
The
certification covers four key areas: site safety measures, secure financial
transactions, clear foreign-language communication, and safe mobility and
transport. Operators who meet the criteria will be listed on a new mini-site
launching in September, providing travellers with an easy reference point.
Nationwide
rollout is planned for October 2025, supported by digital campaigns, influencer
partnerships, and multilingual publicity to project Thailand as a safe, modern
and trustworthy travel destination.
