Wego has partnered with the Department of Culture and
Tourism – Abu Dhabi to strengthen demand for the UAE capital across the Middle
East and North Africa. The cooperation combines destination marketing with
Wego’s digital reach and travel marketplace, allowing consumers to move
directly from destination content to bookable flights and hotel stays.
The campaign will use targeted digital marketing and
data-driven content to reach travellers showing an interest in regional trips.
Abu Dhabi’s cultural attractions, beaches, entertainment facilities and desert
experiences will form the core of the promotion.
Digital campaign targets MENA travellers
The partnership is designed to position Abu Dhabi more
prominently among travellers searching for destinations within the region. Wego
will use its market data and distribution channels to connect destination
inspiration with travel planning and bookings.
“Through our partnership with DCT Abu Dhabi, we are
leveraging Wego's market intelligence and reach across MENA to inspire
travelers and convert that inspiration into seamless bookings,” said Mamoun
Hmidan, Chief Business Officer at Wego.
The campaign highlights attractions including Sheikh
Zayed Grand Mosque, Louvre Abu Dhabi, Saadiyat Island and the theme parks of
Yas Island. Al Ain and desert experiences in the Rub' al Khali are also part of
the destination offer.
Culture and entertainment support year-round demand
Abu Dhabi is positioning its combination of cultural
heritage, leisure attractions and international air connectivity as a
year-round proposition for regional travellers.
“Our collaboration with Wego enables us to amplify Abu
Dhabi's diverse offering to a highly engaged regional audience. As demand grows
for meaningful, culturally immersive experiences closer to home, Abu Dhabi is
always ready to welcome travelers with exceptional infrastructure, rich
heritage, and a year-round calendar of world-class events,” said Abdulla
Yousuf, Director of International Operations at DCT Abu Dhabi.
For both partners, the cooperation goes beyond
destination awareness. By combining DCT Abu Dhabi’s tourism marketing with
Wego’s travel technology and booking channels, the campaign is intended to
translate consumer interest across the MENA region into measurable travel
demand and bookings.
