This will further strengthen their strategic
partnership and enhancing connectivity between Europe and the Asia-Pacific
region.
Expanded network and greater travel flexibility
Effective 26 October 2025, customers will be able to
book Brussels Airlines codeshare flights on the Singapore–Brussels route,
operated by Singapore Airlines. This addition offers travellers expanded travel
options and seamless connections between Singapore, Belgium, and beyond,
complementing the existing network of both airline groups.
Strengthening a proven partnership
Felipe Bonifatti, Lufthansa Group Vice President Asia
Pacific and Joint Ventures East, said:
“The Asia-Pacific region is home to more Lufthansa
Group Joint Ventures than anywhere else in the world. The integration of
Brussels Airlines into our Joint Venture with Singapore Airlines underlines our
commitment to offering customers in APAC greater choice and seamless
connectivity across Europe. This step is a natural progression of our
long-standing partnership with Singapore Airlines.”
Eight years of collaboration and growth
The Lufthansa Group–Singapore Airlines Joint Venture,
established in 2017, recently marked its eighth anniversary. It currently
provides customers with joint fares across seven countries and 26 destinations,
offering coordinated schedules, aligned fares, and integrated services across
both networks.
The expanded partnership also extends to intermodal
feeder routes — bus and rail connections to the airlines’ European hubs —
improving accessibility for passengers across the continent.
Looking ahead
This latest development sets the stage for future
collaboration, opening the door for additional Lufthansa Group and Singapore
Airlines subsidiaries to join the Joint Venture. Together, the partners aim to
further enhance global network access and provide travellers between Europe and
the Asia-Pacific region with more choice, convenience, and connectivity than
ever before.
