Tourexpi
From
waterfall meditation to artisan rum and chocolate making, there is much to
uncover on this Caribbean gem known for its spices and relaxed lifestyle.
Blending
into island life
Designed
to reflect Caribbean village vibes, surrounded by nature, and bursting with
bold colors and scents, the resort maintains a connection to Grenada’s “Spice
Island” heritage. There are 56 pool suites, which combine eco-credentials and
comfort using natural, renewable, and repurposed materials. The organic and
contemporary interiors feature open-plan bedrooms, each with an outdoor terrace
leading to a private plunge pool for a cooling dip.
In
addition, there are 15 villas enjoying prime hillside or beachfront settings,
ranging between one, two, and four bedrooms, all with generously sized bedrooms
and ensuite bathrooms. The five larger four-bedroom retreats are located on a
Bluff, offering a 270-degree view of one of the most coveted locations in the
Caribbean. With expansive landscaped gardens, they are a world apart yet still
closely connected to all the resort's amenities, including the restaurants,
water sports, and spa.
Food
inspired by the Caribbean and South America and served with passion
Sourced
with care, authentic dishes from the land and sea are exotic, fresh, and
fruity. The signature restaurant, SeaFire, is where creativity,
experimentation, and emotion unite. With a Raw Bar and wood fire grill, the
communal plates are designed for sharing. At Callaloo, the all-day-dining
restaurant, guests enjoy farm-to-table dining with the chef’s interpretation of
classic comfort food. The poolside Panquai Breeze Bar serves up Churrasco, the
South American tradition of cooking meat on long skewers over a fire, paired
with a selection of Grenadian rums and tropical cocktails. The ideal refresh is
at the Scoop café, where complimentary shaved ice or freshly churned ice cream
offer a naughty but nutritious daily treat.
Reset
and rejuvenate at Six Senses Spa
Six
Senses Spa is uniquely placed overlooking the lagoon. Set over two floors, the
upper floor has a state-of-the-art gym and a yoga pavilion, with unrivaled
views of the colorful landscape to let the mind wander during a workout. The
180-square-meter fitness facilities include a studio for spin, cycling, yoga,
and aerial yoga, and a separate entrance for 24-hour access for early birds and
night owls.
The
lower floor houses the single treatment rooms and Hammam, along with two suites
for couples, each with a private relaxation space and one with an Alchemy Bar.
Caribbean influences and traditions are brought into the rejuvenating spa
journey, with a blend of indigenous spices known and loved by Grenadians since
the 1850s and now reinterpreted within the unique spa menu to combine with
high-tech and high-touch therapies and pioneering wellness programs, including
sleep-tracking, biohacking, and a range of three- to seven-night personalized
programs. Outside, there is a communal wet area with a panoramic sauna, hot
pool, cold plunge pool, and Kneipp therapy pool.
Embracing
nature’s gifts
The
resort’s commitment to sustainability guides all its actions – from how the
land is used to grow herbs in Grenada’s fertile volcanic soil and Eat With Six
Senses dining ethos to how it manages its energy and waste, conserves water,
and supports community-driven projects. The resort is also planting 3,000 trees
and bushes and new mangroves along the lagoon, which is a lively habitat for
many species of birds, fish, and other animals.
Taking
the slow road to discover Grenada’s plentiful charms
With
a reputation for its open-armed, warmhearted welcome, the laid-back pace of
life on the island is infectious. The Experience Center offers a unique
itinerary to explore the island at leisure, starting at the capital, Saint
George’s, which boasts one of the prettiest waterfronts in the Caribbean. This
buzzing horseshoe-shaped harbor lined with bobbing boats features an enchanting
Time Travel Tunnel with educational plaques detailing Grenada’s history. Grand
Etang National Park is a rainforest full of life, including the island’s adored
national bird, the Grenada Dove, as well as the Mona monkey, the mongoose, and
the nine-banded armadillo. It is also a hiker’s heaven, from a 15-minute stroll
to a more demanding, guided climb up to Mount Qua Qua, or to the mysterious
‘bottomless’ Lake Grand Etang, which fills the crater of an extinct volcano.
Abundant forest trails and volcanic hillsides are an explorer’s paradise just
waiting to be discovered by foot or e-bike on a personalized tour. The island
is also widely renowned as the Shipwreck Capital of the Caribbean, sprinkled
with numerous sunken ships, colorful marine reefs, and the world’s only
underwater sculpture park.
History
buffs can time travel back to 1785 at the River Antoine Estate, the oldest rum
distillery on the island, to taste, bottle, and label their own rum to serve as
a reminder of these golden shores. The Grow With Six Senses activities,
Children’s Play Lounge, and Teen’s Lounge keep kids busy with arts, crafts, and
sporting fun, so parents can enjoy some me-time too.
Six
Senses La Sagesse is 35 minutes by car from Grenada’s Maurice Bishop
International Airport, which is served by year-round flights from North
America, Canada, and Europe.
